Heyward Flow Sensor is worth the money.
This item was a very easy fix to my salt system. It took 5 minutes to replace the old one that was not working any longer. It may cost more than other off brands but the Durability and quality of the Heyward brand makes me feel it will work 4 to 5 years without have to be replaced.

It works well
I bought this product based on a YouTube video recommendation. Im not a plumber or electrician but owning a pool can get pretty expensive. So, I like to look for ways to save without taking shortcuts. If its a simple project or something I feel I can do without damaging any components, I do it. I compared this product with similar products, went back and forward with reviews and took a week to figure it out. After, thorough research I went with this one which is actually a Hayward replacement part. It cost more than other brands but I did not want to take the risk. Also, this vendor had good reviews and a good return policy which made me feel comfortable about this purchase. I learned a long time ago that you get what you pay for. Since this was a DIYS project I decided to pay for the Hayward brand. I still ended saving probably $200 - $300 or more if I would have had the pool repair company come out and do it. Based on the location of my automation system and salt cell, it took me 15 minutes to do the whole replacement. Once my pool was turned back on within 15 seconds the flow switch kicked in and my "no flow" message disappeared. Cross my fingures and I hope I do not have to come back to update my review anytime soon. I gave it a 5 star for the look, feel and quality of the product. I received the exact description of what was being sold in the vendors site. And it was the exact same look as the original one I replaced. I had my original for over 7 years without any problems. Hopefully, this one lasts as long. As of this date it works well and I would recommend this product.

Perfect water switch replacement for my Aqua Rite (Hayward) salt system
The water in my pool started to look funny the other day and found that my Aqua Rite (Hayward) salt system was displaying no water flow on the panel (Who knows for how long). I tried different things including inspecting the existing water flow switch by removing it from the pipe and also checking that in fact there was water flowing in the system. I found no issues.I immediately suspected that the water flow switch was bad as it was the original one from 2005 when we installed the pool salt system. I called the pool store here in my city to inquire about price and availability of a new Water Flow switch. The store that I called is not the regular mom and pop store. It is a large corporation and they have stores in most cities here in California and Arizona (Maybe in other states also). They are probably National but anyway. I called the nearest store to my house gave them the name of my salt water panel and description of the part I wanted. The employee that answered the phone appeared not happy that I called and told me that they didn't sell the part. I told him that it was a hayward part (They sell Hayward pool equipment) but no he told me no they couldn't order it.I Called another of their stores (Same chain) in a neighboring city and found the employee that answered the phone very friendly and told me that yes they could order the part for me and it would cost me $210.00 dollars shipped with a 1 week delivery date. I politely thanked him and hanged up the phone. That same part that they were trying to sell me for $210.00 was $33.70 here on Amazon + Tax + 1 day shipping for a total of $40.39.How in the world can these brick and mortar stores survive with charging these ridiculous prices ?I am very happy with this product. Upon receiving it I installed it on my pool system (1 minute) and after a few seconds the salt system panel started showing water flow again. As easy as that. Highly recommended.

Can't install it
I have a Hayward system with a Hayward salt cell. Recently I received a No Flow advisory and everything I read pointed me to replacing the flow switch. No problem. So it arrived today. Took the old one out, tried putting the new one in and it won't go all the way in the receptacle without hitting to what feels like an obstruction. Can't get it threaded in. It's hard to remove but when I do, I try the old broken one and it fits in just fine. The new one, not so much. The new one looks identical to the old one. I'm stumped and at this point irritated beyond belief since I've had to do so much maintenance to the pool recently, and this is just the next headache to deal with.

Seems to be working for now
I was unimpressed when this item arrived. It came in a soft envelope...I would have preferred a box given that it is a piece of electrical equipment. It had a piece of cardboard wrapped around the most sensitive part, but a box would have been better. It's a fairly straightforward installation, but I had several problems. It comes with one wrap of Teflon tape. When I screwed it in, water leaked out everywhere. I had to go to the store and buy more Teflon tape to make it a snug fit. Once installed, it didn't work. I tried several resets of the main computer, but no luck. I finally removed the sensor, pulgged the hole, and manually held it closed with the pump running. It worked. So I reinstalled it in the pipe and reenergized the system. It works. Hopefully it will keep working, but I'm nervous since the install went so poorly.
