Pulp Riot High Speed Toner 3oz- ICY

I want to start off by saying go to a professional, but it will never beat the experience you gain from it!Pulp riot recommends you use their branded developer, but if you have a 10 volume developer laying around or if you’re going to snag one off of Amazon the same day it comes all power to you! It works wonders with and without pulps developer.It turned it looking beautiful, this toner is amazing if you’ve had trouble in the past with other toners. I used to swear by T-18 until I started having issues with the tone coming out either splotchy, uneven, or overtoned. This toner not only goes on and starts the process quickly but also leaves some wiggle room if you are not for sure if you got the tone you desired. I mixed 1:1 / 1:1/2 and it was perfect for me I love my lightener very clay like while using powder.I do have to beware you depending on your tone of your hair you might want to snag a different pulp riot toner! I bleached my hair almost to fully white and then dyed it blue and then stripped it out. It turned oout not totally white but white with a hint of silver. Nothing like pulp riots silver though, if you see a lot of orange in your hair try rebleaching or use one of pulp roots more viable shades for that range. I did have a little extra left so I did end up slapping it on my boyfriend and his orange/yellow hair neutralized but wasn’t even close to a white shade. (He didn’t want to rebleach it again so I wanted to see what it would do).Overall I believe this toner is better then EQ shades in my opinion but buy it yourself and test it yourself!I am not a licensed cosmetologist but I’ve been doing my hair for little over 6 years and learned and gained a lot from doing it myself!

My stylist started using this on my hair a year and a half ago and I’ve been using it ever since. One time I went to the salon and they were out of it. So she didn’t tone my hair at all, just lifted it with highlights. I found it on here and decided to try it myself. It was perfect!. The trick is, if you have highlighted hair and don’t want to lighten your base color, work very quickly. Get it on your hair and off of your hair in five minutes or less. It always works like a charm. This last time I did it I did not have the PULP RIOT developer. I used vol 6 Sally beauty supply brand . I’m not sure it made a difference, however, if I do it again, I’m going to use matching brands! Highly recommend!

Very very strong! So you really only need to sit with it for 5-7 minutes. But it definitely does the job! Toned out all of the yellow/brass from bleaching. I did highlights in my dark brown hair and this was after a second session using 20 volume developer for the bleach/lightener powder. I would definitely use this toner again 👍

Love this toner. It works well and quickly only downside is that it is very expensive.

I loved how it wasn't drastic n it faded gradually to leave only the silver blonde

I didn’t even get the color I paid for - I got Ash rather than the Icy I picked and my hair was too dark even after I washed it out in a panic upon realizing it was the wrong color. I know to some degree it’s my fault for not double checking the box until after it started to develop and didn’t look right but I also to some degree feel that shouldn’t have been a problem when I ordered different color. It also had the worst fumes of any toner I’ve ever tried before and felt like I was swallowing it as I was washing it out. I couldn’t fathom why it had such a bad fume issue especially since it did smell good but even with being careful in the wash out process as I always am, my eyes were watery and my nose and mouth burned. Just a terrible experience all around.

This is the 2nd toner I have tried from the pulp riot line (ordered from Amazon). Hair is Medium/dark brown. Just needs some brass knocked out every once in a while. The box will tell you it’s not suitable for darker shades of hair but it is still effective to cancel unwanted tones (even if you are not blonde). Pulp riot ash toner - was very effective on red. Did not make hair darker. Just toned. The icy had the same effect (good on yellow/red/helped pull through some lighter areas previously highlighted) but did seem to deposit gray/purple in some areas. It is tolerable/will probably wash out. It is not extreme. Use 10 volume for every toning session. Always happy with results this way, helps maintain and keep hair healthy.
