Hisense 40-Inch 40H5500F Class H55 Series Android Smart TV with Voice Remote (2020 Model)

Yea, this TV pretty much rules. So much in fact I just bought another one to swap out the Proscan 40” in my bedroom. Bang for my buck & lotsa bells & whistles. No longer need to connect my Apple TV that was dated anyways. Great picture, thin, lightweight, easy setup, easy to use, WiFi, connects to my Google account, good sound (connected it to external speakers via headphone jack). Nothing bad to report & it’s a good deal. Update: Second one I ordered arrived broken with the screen very cracked all over. Returned second one to Amazon for replacement. First one still good.

This is my first smart tv and I'm quite happy with my purchase! I was able to login my Google, YouTube, and Hulu accounts using my Android phone which was amazingly convenient. I'm able to cast videos from my phone and iPad. I use my ipad for my workout app, obé and just use the regular casting method. I'm still trying to figure out voice control, so I can't speak on that. The only thing I don't love is the sound. The speakers are in the back and make it sound muffled bouncing off the wall behind it. I definitely recommend and will likely purchase a sound bar for clearer audio. It is very loud though, and I find myself keeping it at an 1/8th of the possible volume in most apps. I use Amazon prime, YouTube, and Hulu as our tv choices. I love that the remote has prime video, YouTube and Google play store on it. I don't use Netflix and wish I could change that button to open Hulu. Maybe I can, but I haven't looked into it yet. It has an apps button to take me directly to the app screen which is super convenient. It has a Bluetooth pairing button, but I wish it had a voice command button too. The Bluetooth button is great for pairing my headphones, which is super useful after the kids go to sleep since I live in an apartment. I like the air console app to play games using my phone as a controller, but it doesn't work outside the app. There seems to be a way to make it work, but all the videos are in Hindi and I'd rather just buy a gamepad. The Open Browser app allowed me to connect to the web quite easily. I like that it suggests free movie and tv apps like Pluto tv and vudu in the play store. Take note of your model number and serial number On the back of the tv before setting up so that it's easier to register the product. I wish that had been listed on the box or instructions since I set mine up on a high shelf and had to take it back down to find the code. Overall, it's a great purchase and I can't wait to explore the gaming features!

For the price, I can't be too picky. But based on the TV , UGHHH....▪︎The picture quality is less than I expected. ▪︎The bluetooth is excellent.▪︎I give sound quality a B-▪︎Remote does not light up, so awkward▪︎Remote is poorly laid out; hands easily hit the 4 jumbo size specialty app buttons.▪︎Google easily steals your private info unless you spend 30 minutes to opt out of 40+ categories

1 year update: buy something else. Spend more. For streaming I have plugged a chromecast into this TV. It cannot handle streaming very well at all. Just wanted to watch the news this morning. After 5 minutes of trying to get it to respond and not just go back to the menu I unplugged it for a minute to reset everything. Unplugging this TV will become part of your routine so make sure that us easy to do.Ok after owning this for some time I understand why it is a low price. It just doesn't have the computing power to function properly all the time. The remote lags and it is your only control. Occasionally it will start the function you ask for then stop it. At times it will not be able to stream online content without buffering. Thought that was my internet but nothing else in the house had an issue. The solution was to unplug the TV and plug it back in. That seems to clear up all the problems for a few weeks. Knowing what I know now I would consider spending more money. I guess it all comes down to how you plan to use this and your budget.Old review: Good image quality and nice number of features for a really good price.Remote input can lag. Occasionally have issues connecting phone to this to control streaming. Audio output is not great but that seems to be true with all TVs now. They all seem to be designed to need a sound bar or other audio output.Update: this thing is junk. I sit down to watch the morning news and it is unable to switch to a different input. Why? My guess is a memory issue. If I was to get up and unplug it then plug it back in it would probably work well for a month or 2. Spend a little. More and get a TV you won't want to throw your remote at.

I just needed a mediocre TV for my bedroom since I don't watch a lot of TV, so it's a great option! The apps perform pretty slowly and the TV remote already died, but a replacement was pretty cheap. So far it's held up to expectations.

No dislikes. I received exactly what I expected. The 40" Hisense was shipped and delivered properly. This is my 2nd Hisense tv purchase and I love both of them. Set up was easy if you FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. I am very pleased with this TV. I'm 74 if I can do it anyone can.The only issue I am having is registration. I'm going to have to call them. When I put in the model of the TV on online registration, it automatically changes the Model # to something else, so I have not been able to register the TV.

I ordered a TV from walmart and when it came it had been opened and was damaged---did not work and they would not take it back!!! I will never buy from them again!!! Amazon has the best delivery and my new TV looked like I had just bought it and carried it myself!! The outer container was in perfect condition as was the TV!! Love it and love Amazon!
