Waterproof? Yes. Definitely.
Highly recommend. I had foot surgery and used this in the shower to keep my foot dry. Not a drop of water got through. I had doubts but it worked very well. My bandages were just as dry as before my shower and I checked the inside of the cover just to be sure, it was dry as well. I wear a boot, but took it off for the shower and was able to easily fit my foot (women's size 8) in the cover. Had I wanted to leave the boot on, there would have been ample space to do so. The cover part that has the opening for your foot is a very flexible, memory foam type material that fits snugly a few inches above the ankle. I would imagine after repeated use (a dozen times or more?) this material could possibly stretch, but I don't know that. Very easy to slip on/off (if you are able to bend and tie your shoes, you can easily get this on/off).Update 1/27/18-I have used this device multiple times now (5 or more) and am still amazed how well it works. Absolutely no water leakage when I use it in the shower. I highly recommend it should you have a need to keep your foot dry while showering.

Works great, can't hurt to help it out though
I bought this because of a foot injury that absolutely could not get wet. The seal is good, but as I move around a bit in the shower (don't we all?) I supplement it by covering the top with a couple of sheets of GLAD Press 'n Seal wrap. The wrap reduces the amount of water the seal needs to prevent leaking in, and I haven't had a single drop on the inside of the boot.Would it work without the overwrap? Maybe? But I think it's likely there would be a tiny bit of leakage since the seal is flexible but not glued onto your leg.Used together I've had 100% success for over a month.

No leaks
This worked great to keep my toe from getting wet while showering. Not too tight and easy off/on.

Leaks
I think I gave this cast cover a fair test by trying it 3 different times. I do not have a cast on my foot, only a wound on a toe I needed to keep dry. This cover may work for keeping water off your foot while standing in a shower but I got it to use in the hot tub. Somehow, water gets in, due I think to resting the foot which breaks the seal. Keep in mind that your foot is now a flotation device, since a lot of air is trapped inside.Again, if you want something to just keep water off your foot while you shower, this will probably work.

Leak-proofish. Emphasis on the -ish.
It’s a great product at a reasonable price, (unlike a lot of durable medical equipment), but don’t solely rely on this to be 100% protection in the shower if you’re using the boot version. I had a couple of sneaky leaky drips and had to use this along with the garbage bag duct taped to my calf/shin. The garbage bag duct taped to your leg also won’t be enough, so carefully slide this on over your wound/cast and position it comfortably then cover the whole thing with a small garbage bag and tape that to your leg, (use a skin safe tape unlike me). That will ensure that your cast/wound/whatever is safe from water as you take that long, necessary post-procedural shower. The human leg isn’t consistent in diameter, and as muscles contract and move it can create a little lip between the gasket and your skin, and as water runs down it will find a way to get in any crevice. It’s a good product, but none of them will be perfect, (or else you would never get you foot in it in the first place).

works great
I like that it fits snug to my leg. Have used it a couple of times when I had foot surgery.Just wished they had one to cover up an adult ;leg to just below the knee.

Works great
I am 30 years old, was in a car accident and needed cast on my foot and ankle. The doctor told me to keep in dry and I hate baths and take at least a shower a day so needed a fast and easy solution. This was well worth the money and it made things a lot simpler. I was able to shower like I always had and no worry about it getting wet.I didn't give it five stars because the last week, week 6, of the six weeks I used it, it got a hole in the seam of the bottom and my foot was soaken wet, so the last few days I had to use strong packing tape which worked even though it was still sort of wet. Another reason I didn't give it four stars is that it wasn't easy to put on. You can NOT put this on with one hand. It is an effort and requires two hands. Also two hands to talk it off.I still would recommened this product and if you have to go longer than 5 or 6 weeks, just buy to of them so you'll have a backup. It worked great for the most part and did it's job. I'm giving it 3 stars because it didn't last as long as it should have.

Kept My Foot Perfectly Dry!
I recently had bunion surgery and had to keep my foot and bandage dry for two weeks. You have to stretch the opening of the rubber gasket with your hands and slide it on your foot. I have a larger calf and still it was comfortable, and not a drop of water got in the top. The plastic "sock" was heavy duty and did it's job as well, every day for 2 weeks. Still good as new and can be used many times more.
