Beginning with New Testament Greek: An Introductory Study of the Grammar and Syntax of the New Testament Hardcover – August 1, 2020

I've purchased several books to learn ancient Greek but this is the best yet. They have links to online videos for each chapter and vocabulary set which helps one learn the language and proper pronunciation. Each chapter covers one topic very well.

For years I have been studying BBG by Mounce. I really didn't know what the next step was (self taught) and I found "deeper in greek" by the same author. I was so impressed that I thought maybe I should buy beginning greek from this author because of the layout and maybe a fresh look through different eyes. I am glad I did because I have definitely picked up a ton of things that I didn't get from BBG (still a great book). If I could start over I would start with this book. It has a more modern take on scholarship and the breath is wider. When you are ready take on their intermediate greek {going deeper} and keep the party going. As a side, if you are reading this you probably care, pick up Decker "Koine Greek Reader" as a bridge to intermediate greek.

Beginning Greek is an outstanding resource for anyone starting to learn biblical Greek! The explanations are clear, and the lessons are well-structured, making it easier to grasp the basics. Each chapter builds logically, with exercises to reinforce learning. Highly recommend for students, pastors, or anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of the New Testament in its original language!
