Easy to follow, takes out the guesswork
This book takes some time to dive into, planning the week, double checking the groceries, I would say about 1/2-1 hr of planning. It is a lot more food than I’m used to, so that’s probably a good thing. I really like how the meals are practical, where you can have leftovers for lunch and a pretty thoughtful plan.I’m used to meal prepping for the week, and this isn’t created for that, so it was a little bit for me to get used to. It’s nice to make the meals fresh, but for others with busier schedules it may be difficult to stick to.Meals are pretty basic and easy to make. My grocery bill was $120 for the first week, but I already own a lot of the ingredients listed, so it could be different for those not used to cooking. From an IVF standpoint, my egg quality/quantity is good to start with, I have tubal infertility from 2 previous ectopics. I’m hoping this plan just helps me prep for my egg retrieval and have the best chances for success. Good luck to all of you on similar journeys.

yummy recipes
This book has some of my favorite recipes! My husband and I really like the blackened fish tacos, and the coconut chicken curry. There are other good recipes, too, some of which I haven't tried yet. One of the recipes I did have a hard time with (the omelet), but I'm no good at making omelets anyways as they always fall apart. There is some other advice in here for eating well to support good egg quality. I don't know if it's worked yet or not, as I haven't done my second retrieval since starting to eat better. The advice in this book is similar to the advice in "It Starts with the Egg," but it may go into more detail food-wise, as the author is a nutritionist. She has had her own struggles with IVF and egg count, which is relatable to me.

Recommend, just pay attention to ingredients needed that aren’t on shopping list
I like the idea of this book. The recipes that I have done so far are easy to make and taste good.It seems like the shopping lists for week 1 and 2 are missing key ingredients on the list.Week one doesn’t have coleslaw which I found out while making dinner one night.Week two shopping list is missing chicken, scallops, mushrooms and a few others. This was easy for me to remedy because I knew from week one to look at the recipes and make sure the shopping list wasn’t missing anything. However, it did add some time and would be more convenient if the list was complete.

Meals are good, editing is not
First of all, I enjoy the meals in the book and feel like that aspect is fine. My complaint is on the editing side, as well as the estimates for preparation and cook time. At the beginning of each week, she has a grocery list for everything you will need for meals that week. Unfortunately, the list is not a 1:1 correspondence with the planned meals. I was very frustrated when, while preparing several meals, I realized I did not have the right ingredients, which were not listed on the shopping list for that week. My tip, USE THE RECIPES TO MAKE YOUR GROCERY LIST, not the one she provides as it is not accurate. My second frustration is that, unless you are a professional chef, the meals take way longer to make than she says. A lot of the ingredients are pre-cut or pre-cooked things (which you have to do yourself), and if you accounted for that in the time to make the meal, it would be much longer. Also, there are a lot of "recipes within a recipe". This also adds to the prep time and is not accounted for in the entire meal estimated prep time. My main advice here is to review each recipe the day before to make sure you give yourself enough time to prepare everything (or just get some things from the store vs. making them yourself-like salad dressing). Using the recipes vs. the grocery list she provides to plan your shopping will also help you decide where you can make some time-saving accommodations.Lastly, I found that we had way too much food with sticking to the meal plan. After my first week, I will probably choose only 4 meals for the week to avoid food going to waste.

Espectacular
Super fácil de leer, muy informativo, te da información de cada cosa, además de un shopping list semanal para que haga la compra para el plan de comidas que te lo desglosa por semana, desayuno, almuerzo y cena, y snacks recomendados y te da la receta de cada comida. Me gustó mucho
