Good price for the quality and very convincing binaural stereo
I like how compact this product is. The price is good and noise floor relatively low. Upper mids and high frequencies seem a little sharp but that can be addressed with EQ in the DAW. I bought these with the windscreens and they seem to work well though not if the wind is strong enough. Still good. Binaural effect is convincing. Be careful when recording that you don't accidentally pull out the 1/8" jack (like I did).

Bad sound quality for the price. The microphones clip easily.

Terrible for anything loud and bassy - NO GO for concerts
I bought this hoping for a really great binaural concert experience for my Sony RX100 M7 (which has a mic in now). These can not handle anything with volume and bass. The audio recorded with volume setting 1 was completely distorted. Total waste of $$$ for recording only one song to test if these would work. They do not.

Very clean sound
This functions with the power coming from my Roland R-07, but I plan on using the Sound Professionals power pack to get the higher SPL rating. In testing this is the cleanest binaural recording I have heard. It's like having a stereo studio condenser mic right on your head. Amazing.

Worth the upgrade
I had been having a hard time deciding between this pair and the standard model, but I'm glad I went with the upgrade. The more-flexible cable eliminates wire noise, so I'm able to move normally without worrying about ruining my recordings. They're also surprisingly wind-resistant; Wind noise sounds completely normal, sounding exactly like what your ears hear, without distortion. Finally, their high SPL handling is fantastic. Using a Zoom H4n, I've found that I can set the mic level between 15 and 20, and at that point any loud sound that starts causing discomfort is right around the mic overload point, so it's a perfect match. One note, they tend to fall out if you don't keep the cable snug and wrapped around your ear like in the picture. To help with this, simply cinch up the Y-band toward your chin. This keeps tension on the cables regardless of how you move without being terribly uncomfortable.

They work great, only thing is they don't stay fixed inside my ear all that well.

Summary : Buy these with a purpose
I really like these microphones. This is probably one of the best ways to do binural recordings for one's various sound design pieces. I just got them today and just tested them. The frequency response is great and with the power supply I purchased separately, these microphones are a great tool to have for creating sound effects.
