Comfortable, Precise, and Easy to Maintain
This knife has an ergonomic design that fits perfectly in the hand. You can tell Victorinox paid attention to every detail during its production. It's very practical for everyday kitchen tasks. I mainly use it to peel fruit, and it works wonderfully. I keep it sharp with a Naniwa #3000 stone, and it gets a great edge. Highly recommended.

Very sharp & easy to grip handle
This knife is great. It's very sharp & cuts easily through tomatoes, onion and even potatoes. It has a very nice handle that's easy to grip & hold. The handle doesn't get slippery when wet.

Sharp and useful
This knife is great. Easy to use especially for hands in the smaller side - if your hands are larger you may be better off with an 8”. I love the gripped handle - makes it very easy to use or wash.

A very versatile knife with a good blade and grip.
Love this knife. Has good grip and balance. The length and width of the blade is ideal. I use it for everything, basically the only knife I need in the kitchen. We had the same before and we ordered another of the same.

Outstanding knives, bought 6 so far. Two for us and the others as gifts.
If I only had one kitchen knife this might be it. I have many others but this one is a nice size that can do most things pretty darn well.Gave one to a friend, he thought that was an odd gift, put it up and didn't try it for almost a year, finally he needed a sharp knife for some ribs and remembered the one I gave him, he said it was a eureka moment when he realized why I had given it to him. He also realized that he had never actually owned a sharp knife until then, at 62 years old. He loves it now.It holds an edge very well. The handle is superb, doesn't get slippery, big enough for my hands and small enough for our daughters.Blade is more flexible than the 8" version (which I also have and highly recommend and gift) but that works well for many things as well.It really is an awesome knife.

Gave it as a gift
I am late in reviewing this item because I gave it to my sister as a gift. She recently told how much she really likes it. She is just beginning to cook more and did not have a decent chef knife. I did not want to spend a lot of money on a knife. I saw this brand reviewed on America's Test Kitchen and it is the brand they use in their kitchens. I am glad my sister is happy with it. I use a different brand of knife but am thinking about purchasing an additional knife for myself.

Good enough for Jacques Pepin
If it's good enough for Jacques Pepin, I assumed it would be good. It is. It is not a heavy, forged knife like a Wusthof or Zwilling, but it's a great slicer for veg. Seems to hold a better edge than my Dexter knives and easier to sharpen.
