We rescue and rehabilitate Irish Wolfhounds, a noble breed often purchased on a whim without doing the proper research. I never thought that I'd see the day when someone would turn over their six month old puppy (costing $3,000) along with his/her kennel, toys, and food -- and be glad to see us drive off!When turned over to us we have to address various physical and social problems, helping them to become what they should be, and eliminating any allergies or illnesses. Because their coats vary so much in color and composition, it's always an adventure to find out which shampoo might work best for each individual dog.Knowing several breeders with decades of experience, we often rely upon their vast knowledge to help us solve the problems that come up. Some of the shampoos we have used, while highly touted by their manufacturers, either don't do a complete job or cause rashes and allergies.Eventually a successful breeder who is also a groomer turned us on to this Chris Christensen Spectrum One Shampoo For Coarse and Rough Coated Breeds. And we're certainly glad she did. This shampoo has been great as far as penetrating to the skin, deep cleaning the layers each dog has, rinsing easily, causing no skin irritation or allergies, and leaving the dogs with a smooth looking shiny coat to be proud of.

Of the many shampoos I have tried this is my favorite for my show dog Belgian Sheepdogs. It cleans, but leaves the coat feeling the correct texture and doesn’t soften it as some shampoos do.

I used this product on my standard poodle, the quality of it is amazing it leaves a good shine and makes my poodles fur so very soft. She was a rehome and when I got her, her fur was nasty this stuff helped her coat come back to health and the quality of it is amazing

My giant schnauzer has coarse wiry hair. I have a bath with this letting the product sit and do it’s thing for about 10 mins while I did the teeth and ears.My dog not only is squeaky clean, smelling great but the coat looks stunning. It’s so soft and abundant looking.I am seriously going to try on my own hair because this is magic.

This shampoo is awesome. Used it on my mini schnauzer and there is a NOTICABLE difference in coat texture. He is hand stripped but his furnishings would forever be getting ratty within hours of grooming. I swear to god, this has kept his furnishings from getting all stringy much long than any other shampoo or product. My dog isn't a show dog, I just like him looking his best. He is really into being a dog and getting filthy dirty and thus needs weekly baths. I think this shampoo has got him cleaner than a lot of other brands in the same price range. Absolutely worth it.I use this the white on white diluted on his beard and its awesome too.

I really liked the coat of my schnauzer after bathing, it feels pleasant to the touch and smells good

I liked the effectiveness of this shampoo and conditioner system. The loose cost came out easily during the bath and blow dry. However the smel has a strange chemical odor that I and my family find off putting and it is strong enough to linger (as wel as on me after I have bathed the dog). Will not repurchase

Great for my poodle's coat, it's never been healthier. However I do wish it was more concentrated.
