Wall Mount Flat Back Chain Link Fence Gate Hinge - 5/8 Hinge Pin 1 Pack Silver

I was able to use this on my wooden gate post without having to set another pole in the ground saving me time and money. It mounted very easily and works great.

The wall mounts are great. Very solid. Made attaching a gate to my garage wall, quick and easy.

So I will say kuddos for making a needed product that is hard to find. But 2 overall comments/questions. First, only time will tell regarding weld quality, it could be better. But my biggest question is in regards to that small support bracket (see red circle on attached picture). Now I'm no engineer, but with the weight of the gate sitting on the pin, wouldn't the small support bracket be better served under the metal tab holding the pin rather than on top of it? Anything I have ever built a support bracket always goes underneath to support the weight that is causing downward force to help prevent bending. Maybe the seller can elaborate on design thought.
