I got this minecraft toy for my 8 and 4 year old sons. They don't play the game much, but they enjoy watching the interactive show on Netflix. Steve is one of the main characters in the game, so even though they don't play too much Minecraft, they still know who he is.The toy comes with Steve, his horse, and a bunch of armor. There is a scanner cube on a box that holds the armor and Steve's extra face. If you scan it on the Minecraft Comic app you can create a comic using the characters. The app worked fine for me, but my 8 year old son said that it wasn't fun to use the app because he needed more Minecraft characters. But overall the toy was still enjoyable to play with.As far as gifting goes, I'd say that any kid who is a fan of minecraft would enjoy it. I'd recommend it as long as the child had multiple characters or just wanted to play with the toy and not use the app. Both of my kids have spent time playing with it, so it really is fun for the little kids as well. And as far as pricing goes, I think it's worth the money. It is a durable toy and seems to be well made. So if you know a kid who loves Minecraft then I'm fairly certain they will enjoy this toy.
