Why did you pick this product vs others?:Design and functionality

Just finished using this on multiple international flights, in economy seats, and it worked really well. I have sciatic issues and am 5’5”, and being able to raise my legs to get pressure off my thigh meant 8-10 hour flights without issues. Worked even with the smaller economy legroom; I did not have a bag under my seat. On one plane there was only about an inch of space with the tray table down (international flight) so might not work for longer legs. Gave four stars because after my third use it started bunch up under my feet. I might add a couple small pockets so I can put something stiff at either end to prevent that, but for the price worth the purchase.

I cannot recommend this footrest enough. Seriously. I will never fly on an airplane without bringing this!Though I hate to admit it, I was influenced to try one of these foot hammocks on TikTok; a girl in a video was listing all of her personal "must haves" when traveling, and this was the first product mentioned. She said that it was perfect for long flights as it allows for your feet to recline, which as a 5'0" individual who gets extremely uncomfortable on planes because my feet can't fully touch the floor, I was intrigued. I found this item (which was the most affordable on Amazon) and gave it a try. I am sure glad I did because I will FOREVER keep this in my carry-on or purse when going on a flight! It rolls up in a tight bundle, imagine a short umbrella in its sleeve, and when attached to the tray in front of you, truly does allow for your legs to recline.Just note that each time you whip this out, the people surrounding you will be watching you set this item up and prop up your feet with wide eyes - everyone thinks this thing is genius, and so do I. No these didn’t work! I took them for my 12 hour flight to Italy and it didn’t work! The black clip that adjusts the height kept going down! It sucked im so mad and I can’t even return it because I purchased it a month before my trip. Please don’t buy!

I have now had this footrest under my desk for two weeks and let me tell you, I don't know why I waited so long.I'm short. I have a tall desk, a tall desk chair, and feet that have been dangling out of that (and most) desk chair for centuries now.I also have some pretty garbage knees. I'm not supposed to stay in any one position for too long, and ideally I'm supposed to keep things elevated.I've tried a lot of things and none of them worked. I gave up. I stumbled across this item, thought 'how bad could it be' and ordered it.It's heaven.I can fidget if I need to, I can reposition with ease, and the best part of all, I can elevate my knees at my desk while I ice them. With good support for my feet and ankles to boot.It's made things so much more pleasant. My remote work (and video games) requires a lot of hours at a desk doing multimedia editing. I used to have to take lengthy breaks to lay down and take care of my joint pain, but now I don't have to.I can't speak to travel since there's a global pandemic on but it's compact with a sturdy buckle and a generous length of strap that can be reduced to half it's length without any extra fussing.I found mine a little long for my purposes but I made it work by tying parts of it to a support beam. Easy peasy.Anyway. 10/10, pry it from my cold dead hands.

I bought two of these 2 months before our trip with an 11hr flight.Unfortunately I didn’t open them until the week of our trip. They have an awful smell, almost a fishy smell, very off putting and even made my hands smell from handling. I’m so glad I noticed before putting them in my bag with all my stuff.The second bummer is somehow they arrived rusted on the buttons that hold the straps. See pics.I’m going to attempt to wash it but if the smell doesn’t go away I won’t be taking them and it’s too late now to purchase another.
