Engaging, convincing, and great, even for skeptics!
I was impressed and educated by this book. Yes, there were some non-five-star elements to it, but overall, it was a great read.I've been hard-pressed to accept Sitchin's version of Sumerian events at our human origins, but Chris Hardy has managed to change my view. I'm still skeptical, but much less so. The version of events put forth in this book are more plausible to me than any other account I've heard, especially the Bible's.We hack dna - we are slaves to money, society, and the system -is it so implausible that somebody hacked our dna, made slaves of us? And then, when we got smart enough to want to be treated better, abused us and piled blame and shame on our heads, keeping us spinning in perversity beyond our comprehension so that we might remain forever enslaved? Except, as Hedges says, we've already surpassed our progenitors and masters. Armageddon will not happen, because the premise is wrong. It's not Good vs. Evil, it's two brothers fighting, with one of them being quite delusional and cruel - the one posing as the good one.Yes, it's presented clearly with enough foundation for me to buy it, especially because it makes sense intuitively. To the person who called the work 'narcissistic' - that's the wrong word. Chris Hardy is a person who is fully aware of her intellectual and spiritual power - a non-apologist, demonstrating through her writing the very truths she hashes out. I love all the thought-experiments - every loose end that I can think of has been handled, and many of her thought experiments were the same as mine, with the same conclusions. The only argument I have is with her description of attainments - various samadhis related to chakras, etc -some of the part around her spiritual accomplishment is both self-congratulatory (it's hard to be matter-of-fact about one's attainment, I suppose), and not 100% correct - the thousand-petal-lotus at the crown chakra may be the transcendental point, but the heart-mind bindu at the heart center is the true jewel in the lotus, and she never mentions it. Everything else she said, all the way down to developing critical thinking in addition to samadhi, is spot on.Hurray for this book!

Finally, the truth about our DNA
I've read over 200 books on ancient humans and this one solves two important mysteries which are not outlined in the book. 1. Why do 223 out of 20,000 human genes appear to have been replaced? 2. How are humans the only ones to violate the rule that only one species at a time dominates an environment? Up to twelve forms of humans occupied the Africa/Europe enfironment often interbreeding. The answer is in this book which translates Sumerian writings which plainly explain what they knew 4,000 years ago. A prior civilization of gods, or angels, or highly-developed humans modified human DNA to create a human who would take instructions better without becoming a threat to the gods. You'll have to read the story for yourself; it is clearly written out in plain language. The book isn't accurate with dates. It has Noah's flood around 11,000 BC when it was actually 3,113 BC. Yes there was a deluge in 10,802 BC but it was long before the first sentient beings who the Bible calls Adam and Eve, were created. This book both confirms and modifies Biblical statements and in my opinion, is more coherent and parallel with observable science and history. It's time we acknowledged Enlil with all his faults, Enki with all his benefits, and Ninmah for her biological accuracy in creating sentient humans as well as the plants necessary to create beer and wine. You'll learn a lot by reading this book. I recommend it highly.

Good read on subject matter....
This wasn't the first book on the Annunaki I have read and it won't be the last. An excellently researched and easy to read, this book honors the work of Zecharia Sitchen with updated science and philosophies proving that Adamic Humanity was genetically engineered with alien DNA.The author shows that the god who created us was not the same god who expelled us from Eden, she explains that there will be no apocalypse because the Good/Evil duality has never truly existed--we have only enemy gods fighting and implicating humanity in the wake of their own competition for power.Good book on the Annunaki!
