Beautiful!
Beautiful lamp! However, instructions needs to be a little bit more specific.

This is the worst lamp on Amazon - its not even a lamp, its a build-a-lamp-kit
This is hands down 100% the worst lamp on Amazon. No joke. The shipping weight was the first clue, I could pick the entire box up pinched between 2 fingers. Uh oh! It wa also an extremely narrow box which caused me to wonder, where is the shade? More on that later. It is flat packaged, which means that the opening the box and extracting the items will result in the box being destroyed. No way around it.Inside the box you'll find 3 legs (that need to be assembled), 1 light socket (that needs to be attached to the legs), 1 unrolled shade, 2 pieces of wire hoop (1 for the top of the shade, 1 for the bottom of the shade). So much to my horror, I realized a had built the equivalent of a Build-a-Bear for a lamp.Normally I wouldn't care too much but, I started to use the included tools to unscrew 9 screws from the light socket and then 1 by 1 assemble the legs. Had to do 1 leg twice due to not keeping the cord from the socket on the inside of the leg, causing the cord to become wrapped permanently around the leg of the lamp without redoing it.Next came the lamp shade. Now, I've never built a lamp shade. I'm not a professional lamp shade builder. But this seemed straight forward enough. Take the two hoops, push them into "tracks' that are lining the top and bottom of the shade and roll the shade up around the hoops like a barrel. And then this is the kicker right here: use VELCRO to attach the two end of the lampshade together. VELCRO. ON A LAMP SHADE.Ok, so why does this matter? Here is why: The shade is super shiny so 1) you gonna get your finger prints all over this thing as you try to pull the lampshade tight on itself in order to 2) remove any dents, sags or crinkles in the shade from when you rolled the hoops into a barrel. After about 30 min I had a lamp that leaned to 1 side, had an obvious dent in the shade, could see exposed white velcro on the gold shade, finger prints galore all over it, a cracked ring (that secures the lampshade to the socket) and a chipped socket. The cracked ring and the chipped socket arrived that way. Awesome.I returned the item and canceled the 2nd lamp from the same manufacture.I bought better lamps at the same price point at my local Target.

UPDATE: Awkward Build | Eventually Finished . . .looks almost as good as I hoped
UPDATE: After 3 days of fruitless attempts and several shopping trips I arrived at an idea.... I found some tape that wouldn't affect the outside of the shade. I taped the first two connectors on the shade to both top and bottom frames and then was able to stretch the shade full circle. Unfortunately, this did not completely remove the creases from the shade's packaging (after 3 days of flattening) but it's finished and looks as good as I initially expected - it is possible in my place to hide the creases, so good to go. From 1 to 4 Stars based solely on looks and performance. This review is almost entirely based on my experience BUILDING this lamp. The base looks great - I've built and tested it and it works fine - I have not built the shade yet...the shade is the most awkward piece of furniture I've ever built. The instructions for the lampshade ignore the fact that when the item is boxed, the shade is folded which creates loose but stiff "folds" in the shade that don't just come together out of the box. That, combined with the fact it's very difficult to pull the 3 pieces together without pulling them apart means I'll probably just go out and buy a shade. This is one of the hardest and most frustrating. I'm not even finished after two hours but I'm done. RECOMMENDATION: make the clips on the shade just a little big larger so they completely connect to the top and bottom frame pieces.

Cheap shade
I love this lamp, I really do, however the lamp shade that is sent along with it is THE MOST ridiculous thing ever. The lamps legs are easy to assemble, but it took two of us to put the shade together! (I’m not sure if mine was not made correctly or it had been damaged) One person held the wires while the other mushed and rolled one wire into the “tubing” at a time. Not only was the tubing not big enough to cover the entire wire, the tubing didn’t even reach to the end of each end of the shade. I decided to hot glue it to make sure it doesn’t come out. Lmao the shade itself is a joke, and be prepared to have an extra hand for help. Overall after getting it put together I am happy with it, but definitely think they skimped on the shade, it could be bigger and could definitely be a higher quality for the price. So I definitely think it’s overpriced, and I will be spending even more to get a better and taller shade. Do yourself a favor buy one somewhere else. Oh and FYI the shade’s seem looks very bad (Velcro material) ...thankfully I bought it for a corner of my living room so that the ugly seem is facing the corner away from view.

Beautiful contemporary lamp
Wow wow wow. This lamp far exceeded my expectations. The frame is all metal and easy to assemble. It's also incredibly light — you can easily lift the whole lamp with one hand. Yet it feels sturdy. No wobble.Note: the legs are locked in at a certain angle. No option to squeeze them together or expand. The shade is bigger than I envisioned but lovely. With the light on at night, the black fabric lets a fair amount of light through, makIng it look a kind of gray. Most of the light spills out the top and bottom, however.Works with my Philips Hue bulb.Cord management built in.Would recommend.
