Great Sound Bar
This sound bar has an excellent quality sound and a bargain, build quality is great and the bass is very loud if you want it to be, easy to set up and looks good.

Sounds brilliant, easy to set up but one niggling issue persists.
I got this soundbar on sale to use in my bedroom for use with a HiSense U7QF, an Nvidia Shield Pro and an Xbox Series S. Out of the box, I was impressed with the build quality and heft to the soundbar and subwoofer, it just looks and feels really premium with matte black finish, metal grille and silver side panels. Setting up the HT-SBW460 was an absolute breeze using the 4k passthrough HDMI ports and it fits just perfectly under the TV without impeding the view.My initial impression upon first listen was that the bass was far too prominent and overwhelms the trebles and mids. Adjusting the level of bass was a simple press off a button but here is my main frustration with this soundbar, it forgets settings every time it powers off. I checked Sharp’s website to see if there were any firmware updates that could be performed via usb to correct the issue but sadly there are none which is disappointing given that this soundbar was released back in June 2020. If the bass is too much, you can always follow the tech savvy method of putting a microfibre cloth or two in the reflex port at the back of the subwoofer to dampen it down. Now, having said all that, let’s get to the good stuff. After turning the bass way down, I decided to watch some content with Dolby Atmos sound and I have to say that I was hugely impressed with the performance. I know that it’s a 3.1 soundbar with no upfiring speakers but it was an amazingly immersive experience that added to the enjoyment of the movie. Dialogue was crystal clear thanks to the centre channel speakers even with explosions etc happening in the background so you’ll never struggle to hear voices on screen ever again as the sound is rich with a presence and clarity that belies its size & price. It is astounding how much more detail you can pick up and you really do become aware of where sound is coming from in relation to the screen. As for gaming, I thought that the cars in Forza Horizon 5 sounded good before but now with Dolby Atmos they sound utterly amazing. It’s the little things too, like how you can tell if the car trying to overtake you is coming up on your left on your left or right before you even see it. I tested out Resident Evil 2 next and this soundbar really enhances the tense atmosphere because when you hear Mr X’s footsteps coming your way it is so unsettling! The sound presets are good and each serves the appropriate purpose well. The surround sound feature works fantastically well for regular audio content and adds depth and space to what would ordinarily be quite mundane sound. All in all, I’ve been blown away by the quality and value of the HT-SBW460 and if it wasn’t for the resetting issue, I’d buy another one for the living room (I’m currently considering getting a Majority Sierra Plus for that).

Buy it
Looked at a few different soundbars but glad I picked this one. I use it purely for tv use so can only comment on that basis. It sounds fantastic, the bass is superb and adds life to what you are watching. Super easy to set up, make sure you have a " HDMI ARC socket on your TV as this is where it goes into if you are using the HDMI as your preferred connection port. I would recommend this product without hesitation it's great

Essential audio upgrade
A great sound bar with a fantastic wireless subwoofer . The sound is crisp and detailed with a smooth and heavy bass effect. Easy to set up with a nice simple remote control. Bass & treble levels are adjustable .

Turned off constantly
Where to begin...?- Randomly powered off no matter how many things we tried.- Settings reset themselves every time it powered off which was within 15 minutes of trying to watch something which resulted in the bass being super high.- HDMI Arc cut outThe only positive was the sound was good for the 15 minutes it worked.

Good when it works, cuts off bass too much
A little underwhelmed if am being completely honest. The bass ONLY kicks in when the sound is louder otherwise, you might aswell be listening to your TV sound. Also, there is a serious lag when adjusting volume as the device constantly put itself on standby mode so when you suddenly increase volume, it will take some seconds to reflect your entry and by then, you're gone too loud or too low. Only has bass or treble levels control, no other option to tweak sound and can't find any app online neither. Did I mention the bass kicks in and out randomly? This is even though the soundbar is only a meter away from the subwoofer which is directly in front of the sound bar on the floor. So one minute you're listening to music with bass, then suddenly cuts out bass and sounds like your TV speakers, then bass kicks in again etc. Very very annoying. When it does work, sound quality is good but just the constant cutting in and out and also lack of ability to use app to control it better and tweak settings to your liking lets this product down. Still contemplating returning or keeping as I can't be bothered with the hassle of bundling to return. Also, wireless sub needs to be rather close to the bar else it cuts off a lot more. Needs more base on low volume, no base at all unless you turn it loud and disturb your neighbours only then, the bass kicks in.
