Yes, they're sturdy. I love the handle and it keeps me further away from the frying pan. Yes, they are dishwasher safe. I put mine in the top basket to clean.

Great tool! Great for mashing up potatoes or even hard boiled eggs. Lightweight enough to use, but solid to hold up. Long handle for easy grip, and to keep hands away from food. Very easy to use, clean, and store in a drawer or canister. I love the design of this, as it allows you to make smaller cuts into the food.
