Rocksmith+ Real Tone Cable

I love Rocksmith 2014 Remastered, and this cable works flawlessly with it, like you'd expect. Honestly way worth it over the $12 cables after struggling with them for a couple years. Seamless compatibility and improved reliability.

Really fun to play some classic rock songs, but I had a really weird and frustrating issue. When I would plug into my computer, the cable would overwrite my audio settings and make my microphone almost completely silent until I changed the settings back. I don't remember what the fix was, but I remember a reddit post made the fix simple

Is more reliable than the game, if you intend to use for rocksmith 2014, check forms for white screen crash and make sure your drivers are current and only ones listed in forms to be disabled. It's a SOB but it's worth it.

I purchased this cable to use an electric guitar for Rocksmith 2014 Remastered (PC) and it worked straight out of the box. The length of the cable is also nice.

This a cool little bit of gear for practicing bass by yourself, especially if you're in that late-beginner sorta stage of bass-playing and not really sure of where to go after finishing a structured beginner course/curriculum (such as BazzBuzz, TalkingBass, Scott's Bass Lessons etc).It can be hard to stay motivated with practicing music, especially if you're not playing with other friends or don't have some guide/path/plan that helps you see your continuous progress (skill-wise).Fortunately for those of us in such situations, the gloriously arcadey Rocksmith offers a welcome reprieve. It reminds me of playing Guitar Hero 2 on PS2, except now I'm actually making tangible progress on a real skill and learning Kim Deal basslines (Debaser by Pixies will always slap).The only downside is the limited selection of songs. I think there's something like 1300 DLC songs available for Rocksmith 2014 on Steam, but I wish they had some more variety (especially more Sleater-Kinney songs aside from just "Dig Me Out"). I haven't checked out Rocksmith+ yet, but I intend to. I think Rocksmith 2014 was actually discontinued and delisted from Steam in late 2023 (if you previously purchased it you can still play and download the DLC), so now everything has moved over to the subscription-based Rocksmith+ (which has something like 7000+ songs).Also, I think there is a way to import music into both Rocksmith 2014 and Rocksmith+, but I haven't messed with it yet. I need to fiddle with it later and try to get some Minutemen, The Clean, Velvet Underground, Shopping and Richard Hell jams loaded up. Some Ska and Rocksteady would be pretty fun too.

I'm still old school and haven't upgraded to Rocksmith+. But I've been using the Rocksmith Real Tone Cable exclusively on my Xbox 360, and it works flawlessly! The connection is smooth, and there's minimal latency, making it feel like I'm playing through a real amp. The sound quality is great, and it's been durable through multiple sessions without any issues.
