Solid stand, works well for me.
Solid, I bought this so I could stand and work. My office doesn’t have any standing workstations, so I had to make my own. It’s nice and high. And, has lots of different angles and heights that you can set it at, as well as being fairly easy enough to readjust when needed. I like it.It’s not small, and definitely a little heavier than I expected, with some strange edges which makes it a bit awkward to carry under my arm from the car into the office every day, but I’m getting used to it. I’d suggest that if you are on the weak side and/or have short arms, or if you need something that you’re going to carry around or possibly put in a bag, this is NOT it.Assembly was okay. This is very functional, and especially if it had a place that it stayed all of the time.No place for a mouse/pad, unless maybe you had a tiny 10” laptop, you could squeeze a small one on top next to it. I use the top of desktop printer which sits at my work station.Oh, I leave it in my car most nights in the hatch, and it must have gotten really hot a couple straight days and the black “paint” which is more like a wraping, and the heat must have caused the edges to start pealing up. Eventually I imagine I will either need to cut or maybe try a heatgun or hairdryer to fix it. Or, I could just peel it off altogether and paint it. The top is wood, the pressed particle board stuff i think, and maybe I wouldn’t even need to paint it.

This laptop stand is a tank
I’ve had this laptop stand for a couple months now, and it is so reliably sturdy and useful. It is relatively easy to put together, though it does require 8 screws, so it’s important to have a screwdriver on hand. Mine came with a couple spares. The laptop rest is made of wood (or MDF?) and is very solid. Well painted and smooth to the touch, no concerns about splinters or paint chips. The base is heavy-duty metal, they aren’t messing around. I can’t see a normal situation in which it breaks or otherwise fails. In terms of adjustability, you can reliably get to almost any height you want. When fully collapsed, it sits a couple inches above my desk. At my preferred adjustment height, it’s at a comfortable standing position (I’m 5’6”). It can go even higher than that, so I imagine it could work as a standing desk for people in the 6’ range.I’ve read that some other standing desks are unreliable and tend to slip/slide down over time. Because of the material and design, this stand isn’t going anywhere if you don’t want it to. I would caution that you make sure the parts slide all the way into the notches though, sometimes I get one side in and realize the other side is just sitting next to the slot. It’s an easy fix. This is a wonderful adjustable laptop desk for someone looking for a sturdy, reliable design. It is not for someone who prioritizes convenience, as it requires manually adjusting the stand levels and can’t be adjusted with a simple pull / lever / anything like that. Hope this helps! I would buy again, but I’m sure I’ll never need to!

Solid Portable Desk
I bought this desk about 2-3 weeks ago to use at work and it's been working really well. It's a little bulky so it's hard to use it when it's folded flat on the table, but it gets the job done while standing. The desk size is a little small so its not possible to keep a laptop and a mouse on the desk unless the laptop hangs off the edge a little bit. Overall, it's a pretty solid product for the price. Can be easily moved around on the desk and isn't too heavy. Feels sturdy.

Best sturdy laptop stand.
With a firm and sturdy steel frame construction and two points of contact with a heavier base, this is the best option for securely elevating even the heaviest laptops. While some might say that the adjustment mechanism is too simplistic, I prefer to think of it as a robust mechanism unlikely to every break or wear down significantly enough to affect performance like some of the cheaper ratcheting mechanisms with plastic parts in cheaper models. It came with two extra nonslip pads which I placed on the metal tray lip to prevent scratches on my laptop. The actual surface is wood/MDF or something similar with a black finish. Assembly is simple, just screw on the top surface. It is a little difficult with the stand attached, but you can manage if you hold it properly and have a good screwdriver. The screws fit well and hold in the surface securely.

Incredibly frustrating
I really wanted to like this HUANUO Adjustable Laptop Stand and it was easy to assemble. However, it is very frustrating to adjust. Most of the time I would want this stand to be at an angle suitable for using my laptop while I am seated. However, with the stand set to its lowest hight and the top flat surface set for the minimal angle, it is still too high and too much of angle to use comfortably. It will certainly irritate any carpal tunnel issues you may have. When I want to adjust the stand for a standing position, I have to unplug any peripherals I have attached to my 16-inch MacBook Pro, then remove the laptop from the stand's surface, lift the top surface up, and then struggle to remove the stands tabs from the slots and then try to find the right set of slots for the height I want and then try to guide the tabs back into the new slots, all while using one hand to hold the top surface up so that it does not weigh down on the rest of the stand which would make it impossible to reposition. The Pros - very sturdy and fairly stable. The Cons - too difficult to adjust, requires removal of laptop, and requires too much trial with a lot of error.

Very heavy.
Good sturdy product though really heavy. This is an update on my previous review. After using the product I realized it needs to be this heavy to be sturdy and hold on to your laptop. My wife wanted it for work. So I brought it there for her and we found a good place for it and she can just leave it there and doesn’t have to worry about moving it. It is actually an excellent product and my wife loves it. Now she can switch between sitting and standing when she is on her computer. This also costs a lot less than the other kinds.
