This bottomless portafilter will help you improve your espresso brewing technique. You will be able to see if you are tampering right making sure you don't have any channeling. I saw a video here saying that the filter does not work, that is exactly what this portafilter will help you master, that video shows the mistakes you make when you do not tamper correctly and you get channeling. The 21g filter is 58mm not 57mm and it has a rounded bottom that will help all your extracted coffee drip from the middle of the filter. You can buy with confidence.

Very happy with this portafilter. It fits my Bezzera machine perfectly.However, I'm a bit disappointed as the handle is missing the stainless steel plug at the end.I don't like the look of the hole as it makes the portafilter look broken and cheap.Is there anywhere I can buy the plug? Appreciate any suggestions.

Works great. ALMOST as well made as the original by Bezzera (the one that came with the machine). You can tell that it is slightly different, but this hasn't affected the espresso shots I'm pulling in the slightest. It's just a little bit lighter. Love that it comes with a triple basket. This has really helped me improve my shots. Highly recommend getting a bottomless (naked) portafilter. It will really help you improve your technique and make sure you don't have channeling.

The media could not be loaded. After 4 weeks of use:Despite that, it looks and feels cheaply made even that the price of $50 is not cheap, it's way different quality than the original Bessera; I was very happy the first time I used it as it gave the rich extraction look, where I can snap photos that make me waiting for the next cup of espresso.After a couple of times of use, I noticed that it's making a lot of mess and coffee all around.Time after time of use, I regret buying it. Yes, it still makes my coffee looks great while extracion, but I have to deal with the consequences: clean the machine and the whole surrounding area.I don't think bottomless portafilter is meant for amateur use!!So I would expect a high-quality product for $50, not some cheap toy that is good for few times use.and yes: cheap coffee machine are $50-100, but not a portafilter.I am very disappointed with this product, so I decided to write this review ( I rarely does)Attached is a 10 seconuds video while extraction, where it shows the hair lines of coffee that go in all directions

DON'T BUY THIS TRASH. IT SAYS 57MM AND ACTUAL SIZE IS 58MM. WONT EVEN FIT AND WHEN YOU TRY TO RETURN IT YOU CANNOT USE AMAZON RETURN SERVICE. YOU HAVE TO SEND IT TO SELLER AGAIN WITH $6 SHIPPING CHARGE TURU USPS. ITS GARBAGE

What I received and what was pictured were two different portafilters. I got a 58mm portafilter in the mail and not a 57mm.

Will work with a Gaggia Classic (mine is from 2012 if it matters) IF you use a metal file and remove approx 1mm from the wings of the portafilter. Also note that the wings are thinner than a typical Gaggia portafilter, meaning you have to pull the handle nearly all the way to the milk frother to make an adequate seal on the group head. Probably a good idea to play with a backflush basket to make sure you get the right angle on the hand. With those caveats in mind it does a great job. It seems that if your extraction is fast it will make a bit of a mess, though I need to play more with this. Adequate for my needs as it is hard to find an official Gaggia bottomless for whatever reason.

Fits my Bezzera BZ10 perfectly. Great learning tool!
