Soft Close System Fails
Had three of these in our new house 4 years ago - already two have failed. Soft close function is achieved by use of two small cylinder valves filled with wax, which eventually leaks out and function fails. Valves are available but are about two-thirds the cost of a whole new seat! Clearly poor design/manufacture. Seats are expensive for what they are too. Not very sturdy and quite thin. Overall a bit disappointing.
