Worked well to remedy fuel percolation on my 66 El Camino.
This vapor separation filter was the fix for the fuel percolation problem I encountered. Fuel was boiling in the fuel pump, causing bubbles to go up into the primary float bowl. The spitting of fuel caused by the bubbles caused gas to spray out of the float bowl vent into the carburetor throats and stalled the engine. This filter, along with running a return line to the gas tank via a new sending unit that had a 1/4 inch port, purchased on Amazon, cured the problem and now there is no stalling with either winter or summer blend fuel. It will be easy to change out when replacement is needed, now that all the lines are in place. It helped make for a relatively inexpensive fix to a stubborn and baffling problem.

Easy Polaris over pressured fuel pump fix.
I installed this filter between an aftermarket fuel pump and the carburetor on a Polaris Ranger 500 after the original pump failed. I feed the bypass hose back into the fuel tank. The bypass eliminated the flooding and stopped the fuel from overflowing into the cylinder and engine oil.

A must have if you have vapor lock
Old cars, carburetors, and heat are not a good combination. Unfortunately the gas today boils at a much lower temperature than it did just a few years ago. This is not an issue with fuel injection however, if you’re running a carburetor at 3 to 6 PSI and a mechanical fuel pump, then vapor lock sometimes happens due to heat (when the fuel in the fuel line or fuel pump actually start to boil) Causing an air gap between fuel pump and the carburetor. Ultimately the car will stop running, this fuel filter has a great smaller diameter secondary line that you can use to run a return line to your gas tank. If ran correctly, this will allow the pressurized fuel vapor A place to go back to the fuel tank, Allowing the actual fuel to flow from the fuel pump to the carburetor. This is a great solution for people that drive mostly stock 50s and 60s cars with today’s fuel.

Solved my vapor lock problem.
Able to set up a return line back to the tank from the carburetor. Solved my vapor locking problem on my 73 C10.

Decent
Made in China if it matters. Expect better from Wix. Doesn't come with new clamps and the short fuel line like other quality filters. Not saying this is no good, it will work fine. Personally going back to Baldwin filters.
