Better than the plastic versions.
Makes a noise even though somewhat subdued. Large enough to bat, grab, kick with the hind paws and bat around some more. My cat is happy. Now if I can figure out how to block off the openings in my furniture so I don't have to continually rescue the balls from their hiding spots. My cat has never been much interested in the plastic balls, even if they make noise. But she loves these. Especially if she can get her human to toss them and rescue them for about 15 minutes until she finally gets tired.

Cute!
Sent as part of a care package to a coworker while he recovered from a heart attack. He’s got a few cats, and I wanted to include a cute something for them along with the items to cure his own boredom. They arrived exactly as described, and while I can’t comment on how much a cat would enjoy them, my dogs were EXTREMELY disappointed that these little jingle balls weren’t for them. You could hear the bells when I brought the Amazon package inside, and when I sat down on the floor and opened the box, my Maltese quickly went for the toys. They would probably be great for a dog toy, but definitely only if you’ve got small dogs. I’ve got a 25lb Sheltie, so we can’t have these little guys at our house, as she could potentially choke on one. But if you’ve got small pups with small mouths, I’m sure these would be perfect!

Cute mini tennis balls. Perfect size for small pets.
I purchased these mini tennis balls for my kitten. They are cute and look just like the picture. Unfortunately, they are a bit too heavy for him to bat around (he prefers the lighter plastic ones) and these also have a rubbery smell so he refuses to play with them. These would be great for a small dog or a less delicate kitten than mine. I knocked off one star because it doesn't sound like there is a bell inside which is why I purchased this item in the first place. It sounds more like a dull rattle.

NO BELLS!
Bought for dachshund mini dog, perfect size, no bell sound. Not what I expected. I bought 2, very disappointed. Got these instead of other plastic cat balls so she wouldn't chew it up. They have a dull rattle if you shake them very hard.

Cat loves them but have a strong rubber smell
The cat seems to like playing with them. 2 out of 3 balls do have the bell inside, one is just silent because it seems to be lacking a bell entirely (makes no sound at all). The only other concern is the rubber smell. I’m hoping it goes away after a while. Only had the balls for a week so maybe needs more time for the smell to go away. The cat does like them so that’s the main thing. And was looking for balls that don’t break easy.

Sturdy, well worth it. Comes in 3pk
Brought this for my chihuahua, who likes toys with bells. These really hold up to her rough play

The size of these balls are great - they roll and bounce well
The size of these balls are great - they roll and bounce well. But.....if they have bells, I'd expect you could hear that there are bells inside. That's not the case with these balls. I bought them for my 9 year old miniature dachshund, who, two years ago, lost his sight. Before he went blind he loved playing with and chasing balls. So, when I saw these, I thought they would be the perfect size and the fact that there were bells inside meant he could hear where they are to chase them down. Nope. There is a dull rattle that comes out of the balls, but no bell sound - I'd recommend to the manufacturer that they just leave out the bells. They do nothing and just disappoint those of us who are counting on the feature of the bells. If any of you know of a small-ish ball like this that can really be heard, please let me know! Thanks!
