I keep it in my car incase of an emergency. That and incase the power grid goes down I want to know whats going on. Lol

Isn't as good as more expensive handheld cb radios but it does work. Uses a lot of AA batteries.

I used this unit one time..... One Time... The antenna fell off 3 or 4 times, but I could push it back together and it would work, which was fine. But if that wasn't bad enough I had it clipped to my belt standing on the side of a hunting road when out of nowhere the belt clip broke off and the unit fell into a puddle and fried itself. Complete disappointed with this product. It could have been a lemon but that's no reason for it to break in the first time out... Thanks for waisting my money.

I found this CB to be easy to use, but the portable antenna does not offer usable range when inside a vehicle.I purchased two of these for communicating between vehicles and I couldn't hear or be heard when I could see the second driver right behind me. We switched to the magnetic antenna and audio quality improved greatly, as did the range. Your mileage my vary but we then had no issues communicating in hilly terrain when we were not in sight of each other. A dedicated vehicle CB would be great but I needed the portability that this unit offers.I wouldn't hesitate purchasing this again but I would recommend sticking to that roof antenna whenever it's practical.

Great for my little car for when me and my family go camping and while convoying and not wanting to use our phones

This is a good hand held CB but... When I opened the amazon packaging this particular unit was obviously sold and returned before it was sent to me. The roof top magnet mount antenna had damage to the coax cable and the secondary "rubber ducky" antenna was missing out of the box. I didn't return the product because I bought it for a trip I was leaving on in two days and I'm kind of a radio guy, so I had parts laying around that I could fix the roof top antenna with. That said a new product shouldn't arrive damaged and missing pieces.It is a good radio though and having features of channel scan, NOAA weather, ability to power with the lighter plug or internal batteries and BNC quick antenna connection for fast switching between mobile and hand held antenna is very handy.

The radio feels good to hold, receives well but output power is stuck on low power of just 1 watt. The radio will not switch to the high power of 4 watts after repeated tries. A nice looking radio but will have to return it because of this defect. I will have to look for another brand.
