I had an almost flat 12v car battery after an interior light had been left on overnight. Certainly not enough charge to turn over the engine.I ordered this unit as it was inexpensive and seemed adequate for an overnight charge.Very easy to use. Connect to the battery then plug in. It seemed to default to the standard charge mode.Worked perfectly. I put my (48Ah) battery on charge in the evening and it was fully charged by morning. There's a nice charge level indicator.Charger runs reassuringly cool and quietly with its fan, but "silent" it is not!

It’s a really good tool , help me to fix my car. I wasn’t sure if it was battery problems or something else . For the price was cheapest than go to a mechanic and it fix the issue in an hour . I’m very happy with this purchase.

The media could not be loaded. Purchased to use on my 2011 VW Golf MK6 as it was failing to start, didn't have my hopes set too high but figured it was worth a shot. Hooked it up to my car battery and it was detecting and displaying correctly on screen, and after plugging into the mains the battery began charging from the 20-40% region. I checked hourly, and after around 4 hours it hit the 80-100% region. I gave it another 3 hours and it was still in that same charge region (I figured post-80% it begins trickle charging as to not damage the battery?) so I stopped there, ~7 hours total.Most importantly, after disconnecting and going to start my car it did so perfectly, smoother than it ever has since I first bought it last year. Value for for money is great, about 1/3 the cost of a new battery so I'm impressed.Reason for the 4 stars is the cables (both the positive and negative cables, and the cable for the 3-pin plug) could be a little longer, as mentioned by many others but it's not a dealbreaker.
