I purchased these because the bottom section of my zippo was falling apart, after 25 years of use.They fit perfectly, and are a substantial improvement over the original fiber bottom. Refueling is much easier and there is a spot for an extra flint.I can't attest to their ability to prevent leakage or evaporation of fuel, although I suspect that they preform better than the original fiber bottom.

The gaskets are working great so far. My Zippo has been lasting quite a long time now. Only had to refill it once ever since I bought it.I'd suggest these to any friends and family I know who uses a Zippo Lighter.

The quality is great, but I had to knock off a star because the fuel still evaporates within a week or two of non consistent use. If you need your Zippo to hold fluid for a long time, buy a butane insert.

These definitely extend the firing life of my Zippos! Having seen other reviews that mentioned the fragility of the fuel 'doors,' just know you can't expect them to open flat. They go up to 90° when open so STOP THERE!I found the flint 'pocket' inside the fuel door a nifty convenience. The gasket kinda pops into the bottom and is held in place by the flint screw. I also found that my lighters sit more snugly in their cases since there is ever-so-slight overage on the edge of the gaskets.The lives of my Zippos are at least 3X longer because of these. I can only guess somebody somewhere also had it with short life spans but had the means to improve it! Good work!!

These fit perfectly. There is a small hole to fill. The hole is too small, resulting in the lighter not filling properly. The lighter is good for 2 or 3 times before refilling. I’ve gone back to the old felt .

This gasket cover has worked well on my zippo lighter. Have gone from having to add fuel every 3 to 4 day.Now I am adding fuel every 2 to 2 1/2 weeks

I am one of many who has had chemical burns on my legs from leaky lighter fluid, so I decided to give one of these gaskets a try. Gosh...I wish I had done this sooner. It has worked brilliantly so far. No leaking, much longer periods in between refueling, and I can even carry a spare flint under the fill cap. I was having to fill my lighter after every 4-5 days or so, now I can go over a week and it still lights the first time. Clearly, the gasket has helped prevent fuel evaporation. While the gasket did not sit flush with the edge of the lighter core bottom, I figured out that it was likely by design, as the lighter body still had no problem sliding into it's casing. I've seen some reviews where folks have mentioned trimming the edge of the gasket, but I would avoid that unless you absolutely cannot get the body to slide into the casing. The only concern I had was the small size of the fill hole on the bottom, but that concern has vanished now after a few fillings. Don't hesitate...this is a great upgrade for any normal-size Zippo.
