Loftus Three Snakes in a Can - King Deluxe Mixed Nuts Prank

This is a great item to use on your friends! Its difficult to open at first but gets easier the more you use it! The snakes are really cool and pop up way high up and gives the person your pranking a scare! Its very easy to put the snakes back in which it only takes 1 or 2 tries. I think this item is a for sure 5 stars!

When I was growing up, I remember my stepdad having one of these and it was one of his favorite toys. He was a huge prankster and it was also common for him to have can of nuts laying around as it was one of his favorite foods. Eventually it got lost and he was heartbroken so when I found this, I could hardly contain my excitement. When he got it, I think it actually shocked him as he opened it. There's a metal section at the bottom that rattles as though there are nuts inside so he didn't give it a second thought. Overall he loved it and it's actually pretty good quality for a prank toy.

Honestly for the price it’s not a bad gag gift. Got it to prank some of my older coworkers. Just a fun bit of light hearted banter. Got a few people that weren’t looking too closely… however my main complaint is that for being a can of nuts it’s not the correct weight or sound when shaken… still not a bad product and was able to get a few people and bring some fun to the office for a day!

We have not used yet. Concerned about the cancer warning sticker on the can. What part of this can cause cancer? We have children and pregnant lady, should we keep this away? Disappointed there is no additional info about the cancer causing potential.

Includes three plastic-covered 20" snakes, each a different color. Good spring strength - they shoot out of the can - but not powerful enough to cause injury. You could easily/cheaply improve the looks of the snakes by making fabric sleeves for the three springs. Can has a fake nut rattle, okay but not enough to fool any but the most gullible adult. Can has a decent label, but the sticker bar code which clearly reads "Snakes in a can" cannot be removed without also taking off some of the nut label. Lid is pliable molded plastic and TIGHT to hold the snakes down; a screw-on lid would have been better. Needed this for a skit, but my tween kids had never seen this gag and couldn't keep their hands off it. It's not as good as the one I had as a kid, but it's the current best product for the price.

These "Snake in the Cans" are getting harder and harder to pull off on someone. They've always been tough because they just look like a fake can of nuts. And with everybody pranking each other to try and get that next million hits online, it's even harder than ever to pass off a non brand name can of nuts on anyone. I will say that the small beads at the bottom of the can do sound like a full can of nuts and definitely add to the prank.I tried giving this to someone to open and they figured it out. The only way someone fell for it was when I left it on the shelf with all the other food in the kitchen and waited for somebody to open it out of curiosity. The only problem was I wasn't there to see it when it happened. And the person that opened it said they kind of thought it was a fake can.So then I realized that you really only need the spring snakes that come with the can. As long as they can fit you can put them inside anything. Get a can of Planters Nuts or any brand name, find a can about the same size as the fake one, and put the springs inside. Also, I used a screw driver to pry out the bottom that holds the beads that sound like nuts and put them iniside the real peanut can. This is more effective and will increase your odds of fooling someone. Give it a try if people aren't falling for it.

Fantastic purchase. I was able to fool so many people and the reactions were hilarious.The only negative is the sound of the "nuts inside". It sounds like a metallic ball banging around so it kind of gives it away. In order for this to work, you need to approach someone pretending to already be eating peanuts. Or... approach them casually ignoring the can of nuts. They will pick it up and 3 snakes will fly all over the place.

The small can of nuts did not look like the one in the picture on Amazon (as of 12-30-15). Also, the can is actually quite small like a toddler sipping cup.The few metal beads at the bottom of the can is kind of hokey and didn't really sound like shaking nuts in a can (i.e., metal hitting metal). The plastic lid was quite difficult to pry open for certain people (especially kids or the elderly), but I guess it's designed to be tightly secured due to the three spring-loaded snakes. Other than these few cons, the prank worked wonderfully.Suggestion: make the picture of the nuts chocolate coated or spicy or something unusual, since most people will not open a regular can of peanuts, especially if given as a gift. I had to rip off the plastic wrapping then repeatedly suggest that the nuts were special and had a unique flavor in order to get my victims to open the can themselves, but when they did...some reactions were priceless. Video tape them on your cell phone for lasting memories.
