Japanese Mustache Scissors, Beard Trimming Scissors, Extremely Sharp - 4.5" (11.5cm) + Presentation Case, Comb and Tip Protector

These are some really nice scissors. It was between these and another brand, similar if not the same price. I went with this one because I read the thumb hole were better fitted naturally, also I believe these had an option to be a half inch shorter where the other did not, which if you are targeting the mustache would be a pro in much situations.These scissors are so good because they just feel and preform better then those drug store small scissors Snips you buy for a few units of currency. I know this is not giving you much information about anything, but let me just tell you that you can tell they are better by just using them.Good weight, feels good in hands, easy to navigate around, opens and closes like it's gliding. When you snip, it's so smooth. This is high quality, has a little knob on the handle for extra control.Speaking of high quality there is from what I understand about 3 different steels they use for scissors in general, normal, German steel and Japanese steel.These are made from Japanese steel which is considered the best for scissors, from my own estimation also because it basically allows for a thinner blade, which means sharper which ultimately means you are getting cleaner cuts on your mostly more coarse facial hair, leads to better looking and healthier hair.You may not care about your drug store Snips getting lost or smashed, but these scissors are such a joy to lose you won't lose them or let them get smashed. This is a item that you will hold on to and keep. If you want a addition to your arsenal, this is what you want to get.Would recommend, very happy. Top of the line

I never know whether to go with 4.5" or 5" mustache/beard scissors, as it seems like the descriptions are always slightly off from the reality (unless/until you get your hands on 'em first). I ordered the 5" variant first, and unfortunately the pair that showed up was fairly well used, and a bit oversized from the description (and therefore my desire). Other than those mishaps, the quality and presentation were outstanding, so I sent 'em back in favor of this 4.5" variant.As the subject line says, "Wow!" They nailed it. Thankfully, these 4.5"er's were clearly new, pretty much perfectly sized, and sharp as heck. The ancient mustache, and occasional little beard, are gonna be stylin' again. Not too heavy, not too light. Perfectly weighted and comfortable in the hand. I have rather meaty paws, and the finger holes are rather snug, but not unbearably so, so these little shears are gonna be fine for just about all users. If you prefer a larger implementation, as long as you get a new pair, you should be fine. Just keep in mind, they're slightly larger than the description. Enjoy.

Great scissors. Super sharp and smooth. I now see why one should spend a bit more on scissors, there is a WORLD of difference between these and your $5 drug store version. I don't think one needs to spend $100 on scissors but $5 certainly won't cut it. (bad pun, sorry)UPDATE: It's been about a year and these are still going strong. I bought two scissors at that time, the other is called "Dovo" (another company) and those were just as expensive but have rusted. While my Sanguine are still pristine and still as sharp as the day I bought it. Terrific scissors!

For the price, these are very good scissors. I would not go as far as to rate them a FIVE (they are not Japanese or German) but they are a solid 4.5 Definitely a good buy.
