Better than expected. And no problem sticking in vertical wall outlet.
I decided to purchase this Anker 4-port because I wanted a charger more robust, possibly faster, and less warm than my previous old charger set-up which consisted of one double-port and one single port fast-charger that came with my Galaxy. This Anker (which I had other products but no chargers) was better designed and built, did NOT get warm when in use (for 2 phones and a Kindle at the same time), and mot of all – it WAS faster even than my Galaxy fast charger that was included with my phone. Noticeably faster, and my Galaxy phone has a large capacity battery.I was pleasantly surprised. I also like that the blue light glows dimly when not in use and brighter when in use. It also stays put in my electrical outlet. No problem there. Also, I have no problem removing and inserting cables into it if needed (I read that some customers said they had trouble; that the ports were too close together – I had no problem and I am a male have large hands (My pronouns are either I shake your hand or I break your hand).I highly recommend this Anker 4-port charger. it works for me, and if my review describes your similar needs then I say go for it.

Inaccurate Watts From A Single Port
tl;dr: Charges at around 9W no matter how many ports (1-4) you use. It is not as fast as a true 10W charger.I cannot give this a perfect rating because the specs are inaccurate. It cannot give 12W from even one port (2.4A x 5V), or 10W. It gave ~9W. However, this is still better than the generic 4-Port USB-A adapters I've purchased which only deliver 6~8W from 3 ports. But those generics only take up 1 outlet while this anker one can cover 2 outlets.I'm not getting 10W (~1830mA to my phone) from each port like a single USB-A brick can, but I'm getting close despite using all 4 ports at the same time. I get around 9W (1650mA to my phone) from a port regardless of how many ports I use at once (1-4).The brick does not fall out the outlet despite having 4 cords in it (unlike another brick I have tested), but some outlets are better gripping than others. The prongs feel sturdy when I flip them up and down, but some reviews show they can snap if you're rough with them. The brick will also block the lower 3rd prong hole, but I am able to put 2-prong cords in the outlet above it despite that. So it won't block the upper outlet from you plugging in 2-prong cords. But it will completely block the lower outlet if you plug the brick in that way.A negative besides the 9.2W charging speed that I found is the glossy finish will pick up fingerprints. Their 6-Port USB-A brick (which charges much slower than this 4-port one) is a matte finish, so not sure why they couldn't do it for this one. It's difficult to remove & insert the cords too because of how tight it is.I haven't had this for long, so I can't speak on the durability or lifespan.Pretty good overall. Not a true 40W brick, but around 9.2W from each port is pretty good.

Eight years and running
I’ve had it for eight years and it works exactly the same. Anker is an awesome company.

Perfect size and orientation for function.
It's so hard to find a decent USB plug with the plugs in this orientation. Works perfectly and decent footprint for the number of plugs.
