My wife tore a cartilage in her knee. These bags of liquid cold remain flexible and are easy to place around her knee. They store easily and rechill rapidly. A very useful product to keep on hand.

The instructions say to microwave it for 1-2 minutes, either directly in the microwave or in a microwave-safe container and covered in water. I didn't use the water and it exploded in less than a minute (1100-watt microwave oven). It also has instructions for heating in hot water (bring pot of water to boil, remove from heat, add Flexipac,and wait 8-10 minutes). That might have worked OK, but I wanted a quick-to-microwave heat pack.

I love this product. Had 2 previously and ordered 2 more. They seem to take overnight to get really, really cold for prolonged use (20+ minutes) so I wanted to have enough for a full day's use following knee replacement surgery. The size (5" x 10") is large enough, but not cumbersome. The 2 (same brand & size) I had before have lasted a long time and have not leaked at all. I've had others in past that were very awkward to use and started leaking after using a while. Very happy with purchase.

this item was literally a quarter of the cost elsewhere. Wish I had checked that before I ordered. It's just an ice pack plain and simple. It does not harder when frozen, which is nice, but it feels flimsy and I already suspected it of tearing and leaking, but luckily it hadn't. Still, it doesn't instill a lot of faith and I keep waiting for it to bust.

I purchased these for my mother who has severe neck pain. She LOVES them. I have never used them but am posting this review because she will not stop telling me how happy she is to have received them.

I love these things! They are very cold which I like and I can put them on my back for which I have had surgery on.

This fact is fine for both hot and cold. But be careful not to overheat because you will cause it to burst. When you microwave it keep an eye on it don't get it to hot. I recommend it because you won't find a better.
