Epson EcoTank ET-M3170 4-in-1 Mono Inkjet Wi-Fi Printer

Setup was easy. I can print and scan wirelessly from a Windows 10 and a Chromebook. The printer doesn't get on with Windows Scan so I downloaded the Epson scan software from the product's support web page and all is fine. I like being able to top up the ink without buying cartridges and seeing how much ink is left in the well. Print quality is good. A mono printer is ideal for my needs. The printer's small footprint is a plus too.

I have no idea why this printer is a WHICH best buy. I returned it as it kept breaking down. Amazon returned it without the power cord and I had to buy a new power cable. When it was returned the back paper cassette was damaged and I now cannot open the back paper draw, I do not call this a repair. They would not give me a refund; Am trying to see if I can get it repaired again. It feels like this printer is a bit of a money pit. I would not buy this model again. The scanner is very difficult to use too and I have not been able to use it. This printer tends to work periodically and then break down. Also when you buy from Amazon the customer service is non-existent. Avoid.

Pros: Speed of printing. Intuitive interface. Wifi. Raised contol panel. INK! the cartridges take up less space, involve less waste, need replacing less often and cost less per page. What's not to like? You can also set up your phone to print using the camera to scan a bar code. Its easy to set up.Cons: Larger paper feed would be good. The paper keeps trying to fall off the back but hasn't managed it so far. Has a fax built in - why?I love this printer. I went from low volume printing to high volume for my business and found with my Samsung laser printer I was buying a cartidge every week and the unbranded ones whilst cheap could not print amazon labels as the toner was not bonding. Not wanting to spend £60 on samsung replacements I have set the samsung aside as a spare printer and now print everything on this faster cheaper printer. Highly recommended.Warning: there is a lever in the paper out put that needs extending. If you don’t the printed paper will occasionally spill out of the back of the printer.

The media could not be loaded. This model Printer looks nice but it’s really not worth for office use if anyone depending only one printer as it can give you pain anytime. I bought brand new printer and after while use printer start through only blank page and sent to repute via Amazon and got return after repair and see video which I have upload which is also not starting up after repaired even if. Never had this experience with epson before. Think 🤔 TWICE before but this model.Thank you

it was used but i guess only opened not used very reasonable price smooth printing more then enough to do the job for me

Scan feed broke down after one use - Otherwise excellent quality printer

I wish I had read all the negative reviews before I bought one of these. After struggling to install the printer driver and set up wifi connectivity for 2 or 3 hours I finally gave up. Packed the printer back in its box and returned it. Epson printer drivers are never brilliant on a Mac (in my experience, anyway) but this was just crazy. Back to the search again!

Excellent B & W printer and very fast. Like the fact that you empty the ink bottle into the printer's internal tank and it does thousands of pages and the printer comes with 2 bottles.
