Best for Heel Walkers
I love these Heeltrax so much I have two pair. I have tried the full coverage stretch on creepers but always seem to struggle with keeping them on. These go on easily and when I get them strapped on I have never had one slip off or even felt like they might. Plenty of traction for me as I walk on my heels but if you are a toe walker on tend to walk on the ball of your foot these might not be the best for you. One thing I did notice is that I wear a size 14 boot so I bought the largest size and they work fine but I probably could have gone with the next size down. I have worn a pair of these a bunch this winter and have put more than a few miles on them and if they have worn down at all you can't real tell.

Yaktrax changed the underside of the Pro so it doesn't hold on ice
Reprehensible that the design was changed of the Pro underside to a round slippery pattern from the old effective diamond pattern rendering the Pro useless on ice. I called customer service and heard nothing!

Very solid. good value.
I like 'em. I switched from the coil type full foot Yaktrax because my job has me in and out of my car frequently. The Heeltrax are easy on/off, easy to drive with, solidly made, and very effective. Every bit as effective as the coils. I was apprehensive about having only the heel cleated, but I find that with my normal stride I have at least one heel planted all the time. I wouldn't try running with them though. The only downside is that you can forget you have them on, and the cleats could damage some types of flooring. I use them with sneakers and my wife with boots, so I wouldn't worry about using them with pretty much any type of footwear.

easy to put on and take off
I wear a chukka style shoe and I should have ordered one size larger to accommodate the larger food print of the shoe. Otherwise, easy to put on and take off.

Great product
I bought these after old my set of the "Walk" style Yaktrax wore out. They give really good traction, my driveway goes up at an angle and a few times this winter it's really iced up, but these kept me from slipping. I think part of what lead to my old pair breaking was walking on the concrete in the garage, with these I can walk on my tip toes and avoid contact, I can even go inside and not damage the flooring by doing that, so bonus points for that!

These are a must for anyone who has slipped and fallen on hard packed snow and ice during the winter months. I live in northern Idaho and our winters can be pretty brutal. A couple of years ago I bought a pair of the regular YakTrax and I love them for mild winter weather but they were not cutting it for walking on our icy sloped driveway. I slipped and fell with them on. My Sister in Law told me to check out the chains, which I hadn't heard of. I did a Google search and sure enough YakTrax had the Ice Trekkers. I wear a women's size 9 and I got medium. I was worried that they would be too small to fit over my winter snow boot, but they weren't. I put them on my boots before I put the boots on my feet. The first one was a bit difficult but after I learned how they were supposed to fit the second one went on fairy effortlessly. I decided to do a trial run and headed out to the driveway. I did not slip, slide, or feel unsafe walking on the ice or in the deep snow. I like how the rubber comes up high over front of the boot and molds to it's shape for a snug fit. They will not come off, which was a problem I had with the regular YakTrax. These are well made and definitely worth the price.

Best solution for winter.
Great for mixed winter weather. The regular yaktrax are simply too much trouble. These heeltrax are a perfect combo for a good boot. Good grip in ice/snow, then easy transition to indoors.

YAKtrax heeltrax
I had a pair of these in large, but bought a medium size for a friend who was having a hip operation. 7He found that regular that with regular Yaktrax he tended to be able to walk out of them.... by all reports he is doing OK with these.
