Tasty and convenient!
I first found these in the local grocery, but later found again on Amazon because of the flavor and convenience. Now my daughter is asking for them too. Great product to have on hand during the winter season.

Great bowl of miso soup - no MSG a plus - mushroom bits a plus - salty but no more so than most other instant
Comes in a nice cardboard cutout for storage on shelf or at desk. Makes a typical small bowl of miso soup. Super easy to fix and serve. Lots of ingredients, like seaweed. A plus is the bits of mushroom, which add an earthiness and nuttiness to the soup lacking in your typical kikoman mixes. The big advantage of this over others for me is the MSG. I have always avoided it. I do wish it was just a bit less salty, but I feel that way about all miso soup. It's not TOO salty though, unless you are used to a low-sodium diet. In my opinion, given it's savory taste, health benefits, low calories, and rich taste, it would be a perfect snack for the office worker, if it wasn't for the sodium. With the sodium, you probably need to make this a "couple times per week" kind of treat. I am on the subscribe and save program on this item, and eat it regularly.

The best miso soup mix I've tried
This is the best miso soup mix that I have tried so far and the best (to my taste) type within the collection as well (among Sushi Chief brand they also have red miso and clear miso, they are also worth trying, I think). It tastes close to freshly prepared soup, even though the dry tofu is never the same. This soup helps me lose weight. When I feel hungry, but I didn't plan to eat, I have a cup of soup instead of a meal, which is about 2 table spoons of food really, simply dissolved, but it fills me as any hot dish would, way better than tea.Or, I make my lunch based on miso soup (with salad or anything, because this is generally not enough alone for a lunch). When I have time I upgrade it; I like to have a slightly bigger bowl, add more salt then, add my own wakame (dry sea weeds) just a little, also good to add green onions, fresh tofu and you can even make an egg drop with it!It is still very good without any extra components added. Ready in minutes either way!People keep asking me what is this soup and where did I get it from. I do usually recommend it to those who ask.It may also be available at your local grocery store. For example, in New Orleans it can be found at Rouses.

Taste super yummy. Just like my favorite local restaurants.
We have tried many different brands (paste and powder) and my family loves this flavor the best. We use this for family Ramen bowl night and everyone is happy. Also, a much better price than our local grocer.

Good as soup or flavoring
This packet contains a tasty white miso-based soup. You can serve it by itself in a cup, or add it to other dishes as a base to provide a burst of umami. Keep in mind that it does contain salt, so be sure to adjust recipe accordingly. We buy these packets by the box!

Subtle taste (except salt!)
As pretty much one of the only non-MSG miso soups that I’ve found this stuff is pretty good. It’s a bit salty for my taste, so I’ve designated this as my soup to drink when I get colds. I find the taste of the white miso is a bit more delicate than the red, but both are tasty.
