Q: Can i use this tape for body kits

You can but you need to prep the surface and heat the tape. Put the tape on the trim piece. Wipe down the car's surface with alcohol using eyeglasses lens wipes. Apply 3m adhesive promotor to the car's surface (only to where the tape is going to stick) and wait until it dries. Use a heatgun or hairdryer to heat the tape on the trim piece, then as quickly as possible apply it while holding it for about a minute. Finally use painters tape to push the trim piece against the car and wait 24 hours minimum with no movement , rain, etc. Only do this when the temperature is above 65f if possible. The colder it is the more likely it will fail

Q: How do you remove a part and the tape if you need to replace a part?

The easiest way to remove automotive accessories without damaging the paint or the accessory would be the following: Use a piece of monofilament fishing line with several knots tied in it to saw through the attachment tape. Use a dowel or other handle to avoid hurting your hands. You will then need to clean the residue off both the accessory and the vehicle. Use a citrus base cleaner, (smells like oranges) which does not contain any solvents, and will not damage the plastic or the paint. Apply the citrus base cleaner until the tape residue is softened and then carefully scrape it off with a plastic squeegee. When the residue is removed, clean the vehicle and the accessory with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol.

Q: will this hold on tail light guards

I used it on my Equinox to hold Side Window Deflectors in place. Replaced original tape with it...1 year ago. Still holding tight with on the wind pressure as you drive. It should work.
