Worth the Cost! Will be useful throughout your Entire Aviation Career
An up to date weather book with tons of pictures. It’s like the Everything Explained book for an in depth look at weather for pilots. Wish I read it before taking all the FAA written tests. One of the books I will always keep on the bookshelf and refer back to!

Absolutely the best aviation weather book on the market
Detailed, well laid out, fills in many gaps other weather books have, best I have seen. Great addition to my aviation library

A little pricey, but a book about weather written FOR PILOTS!
I held off buying this book becaue of the price. In the end I caved and am not regretting it. The book talks to you like you're a pilot, not a budding brain surgeon. I'd give it 5/5 if it was a little cheaper, but if you can afford it you won't regret it.

Great investment!
Very happy with this book. If you’re looking to broaden your knowledge for weather, this is the book! Look no further and purchase this. I also would strongly suggest his app called AvWxBrief. It’s not on the apple or droid platform as it’s a “progressive” app which is used online. There are lots of highly valuable workshops available that would cost a fortune to have. Anyone that’s here looking for a weather book would be very pleased with this and his app. I think they go hand in hand but you can also learn a lot from one or the other. You won’t regret this book.

Excellent! Comprehesive and user friendly
I have been following Scott Dennsaedt for quite some time with his outstanding site Av Wx Workshops. He is a former NWS meteorologist and a CFI- clearly someone who knows what information is essential to pilots and what has been omitted from other aviation weather books. Scott and his airline pilot co-author Doug Morris wrote a book that covers the fundamentals of weather theory that is most pertinent to pilots in a clear, understandable way. Each of the unique and well-illustrated chapters explains why the information is vital to the pilot and how it impacts flight planning and decision-making. I teach aviation weather at a university and needed to supplement the FAA weather books with more comprehensive information without using a meteorological textbook. This one fits the bill perfectly. My students find it very readable and the illustrations speak volumes. I plan on gifting this book to several aspiring young pilots and I am confident that they will be able to refer to this throughout their training and beyond.

Finally a comprehensive weather book written by pilots that's easy to understand
The table of contents tells the story here. A great text for someone just learning to fly or for those taking a university or college class in the aviation sector. The first person sidebars offered by Dr. Scott and Capt Doug are like gold...they teach you details that you cannot find in any other aviation book. There's an ebook as well on the pilotweatherbook site that you can purchase and download and even purchase both for a significant savings. I keep the ebook on my iPad and review it often when I travel. As you see in other reviews, you won't be disappointed in this book.

Excellent Overview of WX
I bought the first copy of this when it was released. It's an excellent take not only on weather theory, but the use of products that present weather. A great read!
