I doubt that I would have been able to insert the locking strip into the window seal without a tool like this.

Makes a very difficult job easier.
I had to put a bend in the shaft to get the handle away from the rubber. Not sure if this would be required for all installations, but it did for mine. Once you get through the learning curve it gets easy and really speeds up installing lock strip. Not sure I could have gotten the lock strip in without a tool like this.

Where has this tool been all my life?
Popped the window out of my track loader, backing in the woods into a branched. Had a hell of a time trying to work it in using screw drivers, lube and putty knife. Got it in about a third of the way and my neighbor stopped ny and said he saw a window guy use a tool and went right in within minutes. We looked on line and he said this was it. Ordered it and it put the trim in within a few minutes. WOW what a time saver. Worth every penny, especially because I didn't break the window by accident! If I never use it again it was worth it.
