Works great with 1080p HD monitor. But on lesser resolution you do need an extra step.
Fantastic support from Hikvision. Installing a HDD was easy, but I could not get anything on screen so I called them. The issue was that the somewhat older TV/Monitor that I was to connect to didn't support 1080p. Hikvision Support helped me log on remotely (via my laptop computer) and change the NVR output resolution to one that worked. You simply need to install the APP and change the settings, but this isn't mentioned in supplied quick start guide. The on-line instruction manual is comprehensive. A quick phone call put me in the right direction.Once I had a response on screen, running the Set Up Wizard was easy. It instantly recognised my Sunba POE IP cameras and functions like PTZ worked fine using the supplied mouse.

NOT plug and play
Have spent several days trying to sort out installation problems.The setup began okay, until the final stage, when I tried to access the NVR via a browser. The cameras were streaming until then, showing on both a monitor connected to NVR and on the HiLook app. Now they don't.HikVision support not good, sent a password reset, whilst acknowledging it would not work.The NVR is sold as Plug and Play. It is not.
