LOVE IT!!!
I just got my basket today and i LOVE it! I got the silver one and it looks awesome on my black cruiser. Assembly was super easy and it fit perfectly. It seems really sturdy and spacious! To test it out i took a 12 mile bike ride with my little dog in the basket and everything went smoothly! (i did have to add a folded blanket on the bottom to make it comfortable for her) I really really like this basket and i would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND it to anyone that's looking for an inexpensive and sturdy bike basket.

AWESOME
This basket is awesome. I spent a long time trying to research baskets for my fixie bike. I wanted something that would work well aesthetically as well as functionally and I feel this does the job great.I needed a more shallow basket as my bike is a fixie/racer style so couldn't have the basket to deep or it would catch the front wheel. The build on this is solid, American made I believe?Looks good on the bike and functions well. This is not for carrying massive amounts of cargo but perhaps a 12 pack of beer or a very small grocery shop.I highly recommend it.(p.s. simple enough to assemble)

great basket even after an accident
I purchased this to add to my beach cruiser for our camping trips. I carried my shih tzu around all weekend in it he weighs about 10 pounds. I went to the campground's store & purchased 2 gals of water, they fit perfect in it. It is a great sturdy basket. My husband put it on in about 5 minutes. Everything fit perfect & it looked great on my purple bike. Even after my bike was stolen at the campground and wrecked, the basket held up great. One small little bend in the top rail, but no major damage, my bike had more damage than the basket did. I would recommend this basket to anyone looking to carry items on their bike. This is a great product for campers for those trips to the store for ice, water or whatever. It's also super great for riding your favorite small dog around, and they love it too!! Highly recommended by me & my doggy FInnegan LOL!!

Pretty Good Bike Basket
This basket looks good, is functional, and sturdy considering the price (fair!) Like most of the reviews I read before purchasing, there were installation details which were not apparent, which did affect the installation and use of the basket. In my case - this basket is not intended for spring fork bicycles. Well, I was able to install it and am using it. I cannot put a lot (more than 15 or 20 pounds) of weight in it, or it slips down from the handlebars somewhat. Still can hold a 12 pack pretty perfectly while looking stylish. Definitely recommend, but save the packaging in case you may need to return it, seems like these baskets are not for every type of bike.

Wind resistance when loaded.
First of all this is a great basket! Install was quick and easy. However it isn't for commuters who travel at speeds above 15 mph. With my lunchbox in the basket it slowed me a bit. A section I travel at about 20 mph I could only maintain 17 mph. I know that don't sound like much but it makes a difference on my 8 mile commute . In a 20 mph headwind my speed was reduced to 8. I took the lunchbox off and slung it by it's strap behind me and my speed increased to 13. I removed it and the mount hardware and zip tied it to my rear rack. I'm every happy with it there. A quality basket.

Lack of adjustability really kills an awesome product
The basket looks awesome. Having a place in front of you to throw loose items has changed the way I ride my bike.My main complaint: the picture shows a set of holes at the bottoms of the stays to get a different height/angle on the basket. The real product does not have this, just one set of holes for rack mounts, and another set for axle mounting. The thing basically required modification to use on a road bike with bars at or below seat level. These bars will probably only work on bikes with 25.4mm/26mm/1" handlebars, unless you want to try to bend the metal hangars. Some reviewers suggested using a different angle of the top hangers to move the back of the basket up for proper angle. I think this is a bad solution. It makes the basket overall higher and farther from the bike/bars/rider, which makes everything less stable. The stays will be unnecessarily long, which also contributes to instability. The hangers will, if not vertical, tend to slide down to vertical over time with heavy loads and repeated use. Finally, the basket looks awful if positioned so high and far away from the bars.I spent a lot of time and effort deciding on how and where to drill more holes and cut off the remaining sections. I chose to shorten the tops for several reasons: to maintain a high-quality and pre-flattened lower mount, to keep the two lower mount options, to reduce the likelihood of rust on unfinished edges (higher and farther from the road seemed better). Once making the upper holes and cutting the excess, I didn't even bother to flatten the stays. I just put the hex nut in the concave part and tightened the stays on the opposite side of the tabs (this all makes sense if you are installing the basket). The basket still angles up a bit in front, but I did this mostly on purpose, I'm afraid if it were perfectly level, stuff would likely fall out of the front. The handlebars and my body create a naturally higher edge on the back side. The basket itself? Not very high quality, but there's not much wrong with it, either. Doesn't seem much fancier than a dish drying rack. I had to wiggle the hangers around to center them, removing some of the paint in the process. Overall it looks very good though, and I find the medium size pretty much perfect, not 'huge' or 'small' like many people argue about. The measurements are taken at the outside of the basket, at the widest point, so you should be expecting smaller usable capacity. It wiggles a bit, especially loaded up, but that is to be expected. It's made in the USA, which is surprising for its cost... too bad the design and quality are not that good.

Sturdy and big enough to hold a 12 pack of bottled.....um, soda! Yeah that's it!
Great basket. We bought the silver since it was the least expensive and we'll paint it to match the bike. We like this one because it has support on the bottom for heavier items. A lot of the other just hang off of the bars and most of the reviews have breakage which renders them useless. Sure there are cuter ones but with a little thought these can be really cute AND functional. Look at the liners for them or make your own! Intertwine the basket with battery operated lights, hand a bunch of key chains off of it, "weave" it with bandanas tied together.....,.you get the picture!
