Lots of fun for those family game nights! As long as you can spell you’re old enough to play!

Bought this last week after seeing it for more at Target. No, it doesn't come with score cards but we don't have a problem doing the simple math ourselves. We keep score on a sheet of paper, no problem. The board lies flat, the tiles are lightweight, and we've no problem with the game. It's fun, even if I do often end up with gruesome letters, like E E E I U O Z. I pick them though, so it is what it is! As for the dictionary, we both agreed at the beginning to use dictionary.com and not to use any proper nouns or abbreviations. If you're worried about bumping the board and sending the tiles flying, play on a table and be mindful! I would recommend getting a lazy suzan to place the board on though, since I hate craning my neck to see the board when it's not facing me. Overall, love the game, and have no qualms with anything about it!

This is a great mind stimulating game! Everything was packaged nice and the box it came in keeps everything in check. The only complaints I have are:1)The board is not made all that well It is cheap and cut more than once. This is enables them to fold it like a square and fit it into a smaller box. The cuts make it hard to lay the board flat and keep pieces on the board correctly.2)Also the wooden tiles/pieces are very light, I am not sure what type of wood they are.Other than the above, this is a great game to play and have in the house!

I'm guessing you didn't come here for a review of the game Scrabble itself, unless you've been living on another planet for the last century. Scrabble is great, always one of my favorites, and a highly recommended game for literally everyone. With that said, this is the version you'll buy if you just want a cheap, simple, low budget type to give to your kids or to give as a gift or award for something. There's nothing terrible about it, but there's nothing great there either. The board is flimsy, the tiles don't always match each other, and the material is simply cheap. It will get the job done just fine, but you're getting what you pay for here.

My wife and our friends have been huge Scrabble fans from way back. We were playing a lot of the Scrabble beta app on Facebook, but were getting tired of all the bugs. Plus, a good old-fashioned face to face game can't be beat. This set hasn't changed a bit from the version I played as a kid. This is the no frills version: the board doesn't revolve lazy Susan style and the tile bag is just made of plastic. Other than that, the game materials are high quality. As for game play, if you happen to be that rare person who has never played Scrabble, it is a classic board game and a ton of fun. And yes, it is educational and encourages literacy.

I have no problems with the game, it's terrific and have played for years, and now play on my smartphone as well.This review has to do with the company Webbblossomstudios that fulfilled the order. They did not put the game in a box or padded bag but just wrapped it in plastic with a label. It arrived with the corners of the box rubbed off and damaged. I am not sending it back, to much of a hassle, but just an FYI, not a sensible way to send something.

Scrabble is great! Bought it for my mom for Christmas to have for our family game nights. It's fun and sometimes very entertaining to see what words some people think really exist! The game board I got was not the plain brown one in the picture somebody posted, it was much more colorful and exciting looking. I would post a picture of it but it's at my moms right now. Anyway, no complaints and great fun for anyone!
