Installed 7 of 8 straps, tried to get the 8th one replaced unable to send complete pack back for replacement due to having to be able to remove solar blanket. JUST NEEDED ONE, Going to have to buy some velcro and sew it myself! 😡😡😡

Installed pretty easily, i have a low to the ground reel so i have extra length on the straps, I’m considering cutting them as they’re about twice as long as i need and using the extra for when these wear out. i also am not sure the adhesive is strong enough to use on its own, i screwed in the straps with the adhesive for extra hold to the reel using the previous hardware from the straps i replaced. As far as the plastic clips not staying on i haven’t had that problem they seem to be pretty secure and not going anywhere, but that maybe due to having a lower reel, and spacing all 8 straps out evenly across the reel. overall happy with the product. My upgrade to 5 stars once they last a few seasons. oh and as far as directions not being included...they’re right here on the site so a non issue and pretty straight forward.

I have a solar cover and a reel for my 32 ft x 16ft inground pool. I have purchased these straps for multiple years. They are easy to install, and hold up well through the elements. The plastic clips punch through the solar cover and lock snap together. The nylon straps have Velcro hooks on one end and the other end slip buckles through the plastic snap. The Velcro felt is attached to the reel by a peel and stick backing. The straps are then connected to the reel I placed the clips 2 feet apart and that seems to distribute the weight well. I keep extra on hand to replace as needed. I am happy with the clips and feel they are a good value.

I bought these as replacements when I purchased a new solar cover for my pool and since they had 4.5 stars at the time I figured they were a pretty good product.Boy was I wrong, the installation was already a pain as these do not come with any instructions for installation and were different than my original setup. Then once they were installed and I placed the cover over my pool all of the clips started popping back open. I ended up having to take the cover back off of the pool by hand and then drilled a hole through each clip and placed a zip tie through them and the cover to keep them attached.More time and money put into this product than what it's worth. The velcro is also not very strong at all so until you have the straps wrapped around your reel at least once during installation the velcro tries to come apart on you as well making it that much more frustrating. I probably spent over an hour trying to install these straps and clips just to where they would work and am not at all happy with the finished product.

The straps on this seem to be almost - seat belt - inquality, while the wide Cord Plates lock in through the solar cover with a "big push" and snap.. Ok, not my 1st rodeo for buying these solar cover reel replacements. Being a pool owner - 14+yrs, straps break and that Cord Plate pops-out/breaks from the solar cover, makes rolling it up - not fun. Installed these, easy... value - better than the others I've bought. Durability... if the straps do not "Sun rot/Salt water rot" and the Cord Plates don't pull out/break in a couple of seasons .. I'd say 4 Stars. So far - happy 1st season!

Pool straps only lasted 1 year & just disintegrated !! I mean like toilet paper! Straps before lasted 6 years and were still usable, just replace because platic clamps were shot. Never seen anything this bad before

We have a 32x16 pool which makes the cover really heavy and these pull it without breaking the cover, although, my husband had to put screws through where it wraps around the pole because the velcro kept coming off. Otherwise, very helpful.
