The media could not be loaded. Works well in an artificial creek. It looks especially cool when it's not windy. It produces a small fountain, making it look like a geyser. When tested indoors in a bowl, it produced a bunch of mist given that it's contained and no wind. Overall, works well for a small, inexpensive gadget. We'll see how long it will last.

This AGPTEK mist maker is a great affordable option for adding humidity and ambiance. The durable aluminum construction feels well-made despite the compact size. It's easy to set up - just connect the tubing to a pump (not included) and place the misting nozzle where needed. Performance is impressive, producing a consistent ultra-fine mist perfect for terrariums, fountains, ponds, and more. Adjustable mist output allows customizing the effect. While it does need frequent water refills, the low power consumption is a plus. A versatile little mister that elevates décor and helps maintain ideal humidity levels for plants and pets. Highly recommend for green thumbs and aquarium hobbyists on a budget.

We've learned a couple things about this product since purchasing. First, it only operates within 1-3" of the surface of the water. That means for long-term operation it either needs to be used in a very large body of water and positioned on a raised pedistal, or it needs to float, so that as the water gets vaporized and decreases the mister stays at an appropriate distance to the surface. I've been using these misters as an ultrasonic humidifier in our apartment; the mister sits in a 5-gallon bucket of water in which the water level changes daily. I made a float originally from a Solo cup and some foam, and there is a float sold by AGPtEK Mist Maker which does the job with a little modification (it's TOO boyant, so you need to remove most of the foam). The one other detail you need to know before buying this mister is that the lifespan of the small misting disc in the center of the unit is DRAMATICALLY decreased by running it for more than 10 hours a day; I found this out the hard way, as we ran our first unit 24-7, and it lasted only about 3 months. Buy a digital outlet timer, set it for only 10 hours a day, and you'll get a much longer lifespan. Lastly, the black plastic unit (not the steel one) seems to be more resilient in general, so that's the unit we have currently.

Bought in January. Was broken and stopped producing mist by March. Worked great while it was working.

this is fogger was susposed to be used in my leafless orchid terriarium but because it would only work with tap water and not distilled water it would be totally useless since i need to keep the humidity at 80 to 90 percent humidity. but the unit would not work in the application needed my leaf less orchids need distilled water because the disolved salts in tap water would kill them

I found this while looking for a way to regulate the humidity in an incubator. I purchased it along with a device that reads the humidity level and turns it on and off. I'm currently incubating duck eggs, and it is working perfectly for the task after almost 3 weeks of continuous use.

Quickly generates mist/fog for a long time. Used to make laser rays from projector visible. Very reasonable price,

Worked okay for a few days but now it just splashes water around and doesn't make any mist. The included plastic splash cover was nice at least.
