BG Electrical 822UAC Double Switched Fast Charging Power Socket with Type A and C USB Charging Ports, 13 A, White Moulded with Coloured Switch Tabs

This shallow depth socket is excellent - the USB C and USB A combination makes it a great choice. I've bought a few of these and this one was simple to install in a 25mm box whereas others are ridiculously tight. In fact, with some others, if you need wires in the box as well as your socket, you're in trouble. Not with this one. Easy to install and works a treat

Fool proof (don’t forget to switch of the circuit ring mains) colour coded wiring on the shallow back (only 25mm back box required). Quality moulded sockets with both fast charge USB A and C sockets which is ideal to cater for electronics manufacturers gradually changeover plug types. The socket switches and USB sockets are well out of the way for large adapter plugs, smart switches, WiFi extenders, etc. Dependable BG range (used various BG USB sockets for years) whereas another brand I had made high pitched noises.

On recieving first one it was faulty but was not a problem getting a replacement which i have recieved and is working 110% will do business again thank you

USB-A port worked ok, but in two units the usb-c ports were totally dead. Seems to be a batch /qc issue.

With things moving to the new symmetrical USB ports this is ideal for new and old kit alike.

Installed this multiple power socket to free up mains power sockets for other devices and provide future resilience with USB sockets. Easy to install. However, USB-C socket won't power an Apple MagSafe iPhone charger, but does work with a Google Pixel Watch charger. The Apple charger works with a previously installed USB-C socket, also rated 5.0V 3A, so don't know why this one doesn't work. USB-A socket works satisfactorily.

Took minutes to replace the existing socket. Fast charge on the usb ports, and good to have usb A and C ports, so I can charge my older android phone and my Galaxy S8
