Excellent, New Book On The Science Of Addiction
Written to be a graduate level text but very readable just to learn more about the topic outside of a formal university course. Covers the subject topic thoroughly with clear, understandable figures and tables. Recommend for any serious student of addiction science.

Brilliant technical review of the subject.
Koob has presented what I consider the best text on this subject. Technical, to be sure, but if a solid scientific overview is what you're after this is it.

Frustrated about the lack of true in-text citations
I am very frustrated about the lack of true in-text citations. Makes it very hard to use as a resource for finding primary literature when writing a research paper or grant proposal--you need to be able to tell where the specific findings came from in order to use the info in a paper! This is very frustrating because the older version of this book (titled "Neurobiology of Addiction", from 2006) had a ton of excellent in-text citations, and they removed them from this version.
