Oneida Vale Set of 6 Dinner Spoons, Silverware Set

The Oneida “Dinner Spoon” is my favorite spoon. After decades my flatware was a blend of purchased and gifted, but there was one spoon that was my favorite. I looked for a long time to find the set that matched this one spoon. A Google photo search finally lead me to the Oneida Vale set. BINGO ! The Oneida Vale Dinner Spoon is larger than a teaspoon, but smaller that a tablespoon. It’s Perfect. Great weight, smooth edges, good finish. I will be buying more spoons soon.

I bought these for an unusual reason. I wanted cooking spoons that were bigger than soup spoons. So yes, they are a nice size: a little bigger than soup spoons but not as long as spoons meant for stirring your pot, which is just what I wanted.I was surprised that they are heavy, even though the description mentioned that. That may be nice if you are using them for serving pieces. Your guests may feel like this is a quality product. They are heavier than my usual serving pieces though, so I would have preferred that they be a little lighter. Also, I did not realize that these were a brushed silver look, not shiny. Actually, they look exactly like the photo, but I just didn't notice. It's not a bad look, but again, you need to know this.

These forks are amazing quality and weight for the price. I sent back one order because they were damaged...zip tie attachments were broken and they were nicked, scratched and dented. There was no bubble wrap or padding in the envelope in which they were sent. The 2nd order was attached to the packaging, but there are very minor scratches and nicks. I opted to keep them, but they aren't perfect. The seller should not be sending damaged merchandise or they should package it better so it doesn't get beaten up.

These spoons are perfect. Good quality, weight and balance. I have yet to be let down by Oneida products. I recommend these. You won't be disappointed.
