Birthday for Sis
I got Lil Sis one of these many years ago and she recently started asking me where I got it because hers was worn out . . . lot of years use out of it! I sent her a search on Amazon to find out which one I had got her and she never answered . . . Day before yesterday was her birthday and she said there wasn't anything she wanted except her WOK and I mentioned the list and she said yet it had been on there, but she couldn't afford it . . . told her I didn't remember which one it was, but the minute she mentioned the little wire shelf, I knew! I shipped it over night, hoping she would get it for her BD which was the next day. She got it! It made her whole day and she ran right to the store to get her WOK food! MUST BE A GOOD ONE! I know I got the first one about 25 years ago.

Good quality wok set.
I bought this as a holiday gift. My very particular daughter says it is wonderful. She uses it multiple times per week as her family loves a variety of stir fry meals. This set allows for a fast, healthy meal prep and easy clean up. Going forward I will buy this wok set with confidence for a wedding gift - college graduation gift - housewarming gift. I may never have to give a set of towels or a boring gift card again! Love it!

Wok is perfect with the lid.
I had sold my husband's wok like this at a garage sale, oops. I found this one on Amazon and it is just like his old one. Great even heat on our gas stove. Very easy to clean.

Ok wok but lid is flimsy
Received it last night & after unpacking, washing, & seasoning it, my initial impression was that I will keep it & probably use it a lot, but the quality is somewhat lower than I expected. I had a very similar looking wok set 20 years ago that I loved (why do I get rid of things??). My dad still has the same one, & I compared his. His is heavier, has a long wooden handle on one side and a loop handle on the other, and the lid is much sturdier & perfectly round. I actually don't mind that this wok is lighter weight or that it has two loop handles. But the lid is seriously flimsy & arrived misshapen. When I tried to round it out, it bent much more easily than I expected & dented. Be very careful with the lid & handle it gently! I followed the directions for washing the wok, but I think I should have scrubbed more to get the anti-rust coating off, as there are some sticky, waxy areas down in the bowl after seasoning. I did see some reviews saying the booklet says it is Teflon coated & not to use metal utensils, but that is probably confusion because the manufacturer printed one booklet for multiple products. Page 1 has the directions for this carbon steel wok, but Page 2 has directions for a different "non-stick wok." The metal utensils are fine for this wok. Again, I will get good use out of it, but if you want high quality you might want to look elsewhere. Made my first stir fry second night. It developed mild rust - however, I read this is normal for carbon steel. It just means you need to try again at seasoning it properly. The manufacturer could do customers & themselves a better service by explaining & providing more effective seasoning instructions, but I found good resources online & gave it a proper, heavy duty seasoning. Now it is developing a lovely patina & shouldn't rust again. I'm petty happy with it & giving it another star!

Get rusted easily
Get rusted easily. I should have spent a little bit more with stainless type. Waste of money.

good wok.
I bought this a few years ago and I've lost or thrown away everything except the rounded spatula and the wok itself. I seasoned it using normal vegetable oil and never looked back. Once, while cooking for 20 people during the Great Thanksgiving Week Feast of 2011, the handle of the spatula separated from the bottom part so I welded it back together. I use it outdoors on my turkey fryer burner and it handles it with ease. The wooden handles are turning into charcoal but they still function. I wish it had a long handle on one side instead of both short ones. I hang it on the wall when I'm done using it and only clean it with boiling water along with an old rag when I'm ready to use it again.

Norpro 10-Piece Wok Set
I was extremely disappointed with the value of this product. I used it one time and after washing it the Wok formed a thin rust on the inside of the pan. Also, the instruction book indicated that non-metal utensils should be used to prevent scratching the cooking surface in the Wok, but the spatula and spoon included in the set wear metal. I ended up using bamboo utensils that were in my kitchen drawer. The meal came out great, but I doubt if I will ever use the rusty Wok again for fear that it will make my family ill.
