Affordable, high quality printer that is FAST
Great affordable printer. It does require extra steps to set it up in Windows, since it won't recognize it just by plugging it in, but the setup is still very easy. Once set up, it does great. Faster print than our Xerox, HP and Brother printers in the office. Cost of ownership/price per page compared to the other brands is also cheaper. We have it set up on WiFi and it never loses connection, wakes up very quickly, first print speed is amazingly fast. The print is high quality. Scan quality is a little lower on default but can be changed. Like our other scanners, if you raise the quality then the speed is sacrificed and it does go slow. We didn't necessarily buy for the scanner functions though so we haven't fully tested everything there. We don't like that if you put Letter (8.5x11) paper in the tray it does pop out the back, but there's a little door that pops open - the printer is smaller front to back than the standard letter size paper. Another little feature we like is the toner level indicator right on the main screen. Only downside to Pantum that we've found is that you can't purchase their color printers in the US - otherwise we'd replace all of our printers eventually with Pantum.

Worst printer ever
I have installed countless printers throughout my career and I can honestly say this printer is the worst ever! It is absolutely NOT a plug and play install. It took hours of trial, error and technical know-how to get it to connect directly or via wifi, the driver was hard to locate and install and even after the "successful connection" it continuously had issues. I uninstalled and reinstalled this printer multiple times trying to fix the issues and it never worked properly. When attempting to print a pop up window repeatedly appeared stating the printer was disconnected, and it would even pop up during a successful print. It took forever to start printing if it started printing at all half of the time it gave an error message. The scanner also took forever to start scanning, when it worked which was only about half the time and the scans were very very slow. The only positive thing I can say about this printer is that when it did print, the printer was very quiet and the print quality was good. Do not waste your time or money on this printer.

Why pay more when this will do the job
I have personally installed hundreds if not thousands of printers in some of the largest organizations in the world. You can go buy a very expensive HP printer and it will work great, but you don't need to. This Pantum printer works great. This printer is simple to install. I really didn't know what to expect from this manufacturer but I am impressed. Right out the box it was printing wirelessly. I attached it to my network using a Cat5 cable plugged into the back and it connected immediately. I went to the Pantum website downloaded the drivers for my Mac and now print and scan easily. Feeder works great, copying is a breeze and its very fast. Why spend the extra money when this does the same thing. Not a single problem to report and I've been using it for over a month. One last thing, it's a machine built with hundreds of parts. Sometimes one doesn't work. Don't blame the manufacturer, I can tell you this happens with all manufacturers. Just let them know and a good company will replace it.

connect via USB
Pros:Bang for buck all-in-one laser. Nice small footprint. If you connect via USB cable (supplied) and you’re just interested in basic copying, auto-feed scanning, and printing not sure you can do much better considering price (under $200 as of this review). Offers duplex printing (but not duplex scanning).Cons:The product page helps you connect via Wi-Fi. Great. Except everybody that buys this printer has the same default Wi-Fi username and password, which means your neighbors or anybody driving around seeing this printer on the network knows the password. Yes it can be changed but it’s not intuitive and the supplied instructions make no mention to change it nor describe how to do so. I turned off the printers built-in Wi-Fi and connected through USB w/Win10 laptop.Other:With letter size paper, the paper tray sticks out the back of the unit. Did I mention the small footprint? Not really a con just weird. The appearance (mine was white) is sleek, modern, and attractive. Build quality seems adequate, neither flimsy or rugged.I could not get Apple air print to work. Had I been able to I probably would have just changed the printers passwords. I did not list this under cons because I’m old-school and do most of my work through an actual computer, YMMV. Also it could be operator error.
