Great controlersq
These guys work great for the cost! I've got 18 of them running and led wall and other led rgbw tapes. They do take some thought to program them into our GrandMA system but we were able to get them to function perfectly.

Buyer beware!
I bought one of these for work for my bench test setup. Works great with our DMX controllers. However, I bought a second one for mobile demos to do A/B comparison between generic DMX controllers and our hardware. Come to find out, the refresh rate matters with this 24-channel decoder. Our controller is at 38hz, a DMX CAT is a little less, but the cheap Chinese mini controllers (I tried two models) clock at over 40 hz and this decoder can't process the signal. Before you buy this decoder, make sure your DMX controller rates at under 40hz or you'll get no action from the decoder. Other than that it works great.

Instructions are confusing
I bought this to use with 5 volts as it is advertised to work with 5 volts. Right away the instructions say for 12-24 volts. And that's about the only useful information on the instructions. I figures they sent me the wrong model, but went for 5volts anyways. It did work, which is the reason for 3 stars, but overall poorly made, and poor detail on instructions.

4-ch version has been working perfectly for 4 years now
Super happy with these. Have not had a single hiccup in almost 5 years of year round operation. For anyone reluctant on reliability.

One Star
Couldn’t get it to function at all. Using DMX or even the regular interface of pre-programmed presets.

D+/D- appear to have been switched, but otherwise it works.
I initially had an issue with DMX not working. I swapped the negative and positive inputs and outputs and my problem with DMX not working appears to have gone away. The display does, occasionally, have issues, nothing that should bother me, since no one will be looking at the display anyway.

Does not work with Nicolaudie STICK-CU4 DMX controller
I really like the DIN rail form factor of this Nutbro DMX decoder. They inspired me to do a complete DIN rail install for my LED and stage lighting control in my Home Theater (see attached photo). My problem is I can not get these Nutbro DMX decoders to work with my Nicolaudie STICK-CU4 DMX controller.I had a complete DMX system up running using the STICK-CU4 and the JOYLIT DMX decoders, also bought on Amazon (see photo of un-managed wiring). So I know the STICK-CU4 works with all my version one hardware and LED lights. I thought is would be as simple as swapping out the wall mounted JOYLIT DMX decoders and installing the DIN rail mounted Nubro DMX decoders. Then I would have a clean easy to manage install using the DIN rail mounting system with the plastic wire duct. I was not so lucky. As I could not get the Nutbro devices to respond to the STICK-CU4 controller.I did a quick rewire and got the JOYLIT devices to work with all the version two DIN rail install hardware. SO my DIN rail system works. Just NOT with the Nutbro devices but with the wall mounted JOYLIT devices. The Nutbro DMX decoders do work with the $49 DMX512 Show Designer lighting board, also bought on Amazon. Again this verifies that wiring is installed correctly. All the different LED lights work with all the color channels responding. In the Home Theater I need the STICK-CU4 controller as it has eight dry contact triggers. The eight triggers are hooked up to a wireless RF remote. This allows me to control the lights without getting out of my seat, when watching a movie.SO I will try debugging for a few more days , BUT for now it doesn't look promising. I most likely will be returning 4 of the 5 Nutbro DMX decoding devices that I purchased. I will be keeping one to experiment with. Who know it might start working???
