Power House & durable!
Very impressed and happy with my purchase. I seen some people complaining about not having a lock switch on it to keep it running constantly. However, I don’t think that would be a good idea with the power and torque that this unit has. Just for safety reasons. Im 100% satisfied. I used mine for cutting, grinding, smoothing uneven concrete driveway & sidewalk. Still have some work left on the concrete inside the garage & Im sure this will handle it with ease as it has proven it self. I also like that there is 3 places / positions to place Handel,

This is a good grinder. I grind metal for a living and put my grinders through a lot. This one doesn't get hot, keeps up with down pressure on a 7 inch flap disc, and the price seemed fair. I hate reviewing stuff that I have not had time to possibly wear out, but so far I feel like this one will give me my moneys worth.

Good brand
I've had grinders from dewalt, milwaukee, kobalt, and metabo. By far the metabo grinders have lasted the longest, with few issues. I have yet to burn out my 4" and 7" grinders cleaning up plates, grinding bevels, or oxy and plasma slag. My metabos keep on goin and its been about 2 years i've had my 7" and about 6 years i've had my 41/2".

No trigger lock
Really good grinder, but just be advised there is no lock for the trigger

Works
It works fine but I should have bought the higher RPM one because it grinds slow. My 10,000 RPM grinder cuts way faster. Barely able to get a cupped grinding wheel on it.

Good grinder but no trigger lock
It’s a good grinder, but no trigger locker dealbreaker for me

Not bad, even if it is a Hitachi!
Two things. One is the cord is a 14 gauge SJ, which is neoprene, and that should be good news for people who work in cold weather. The other is that this stout thing is marked as used, came with a big discount, and doesn’t have any marks whatsoever on it. Absolutely perfect condition. Amazon Warehouse comes through yet again! The blade guard is deep enough that it took a dished abrasive oxide disc as well as a flat thick repointing wheel. Keep in mind that, with a seven inch blade, you will AT BEST get a one and a half inch deep cut. Fine for repointing but maybe a bit shallow for some masonry flashings. Be aware of that if you’re buying pre-made strips of flashing.
