An honest college student review
Okay so I am going to give you guys an honest unbiased opinion. Firstly, i am a early twenty aged male. My dental situation is not severe at all. I've never had a a cavity and my teeth are not discolored, fortunately. I only have a considerable gap between by two front teeth. The rest of my teeth are straight, bottom row entirely straight and perfect.Anyway, i have been pondering on getting orthodontic work for several years but i did not want to really spend the money. I'm a college student. The money i receive, i use for school and living expenses. So i decided to look around for products similar to veneers. I found snap on smile, which required a dentist visit. I figured, if I'm going to visit a dentist i may as well be visiting for braces. Then i stumbled upon secure smile. The website seemed legit with the success stories..However, i do not know what product these individuals were using or how much they were paid off to participate in this scam. I say scam because this is exactly what it is. Needless to say, i ordered this item. I was so excited, i purchased it and paid for one day shipping. This total to be about 35 dollars. I paid more for shipping than the actual product..When i received this item, i was really disappointed when i opened the package. I knew straight away it would not work for me.The teeth didn't look bad, it was the size. It was not enough to cover a mouth realistically. Maybe if you were going to use these to take a photo. I could not close my mouth properly with these in. If i wore them, people would be more alert to the odd size of them than if i didn't wear them. It was just awful. I attempted like 10 times to make them fit until the teeth kind of ripped. I just threw the crap away. It was a total waste of money. Do not buy this. I am not some extreme case or negative person who is trying to deter you from achieving a dream smile. I'm actually a very happy, employed, soon to be college grad. I'm trying to save your wallet. It will not work for you. believe me, if it worked i would be ordering another pair and telling you a success story right now. Leaving this review does not help or hurt my bank accounts at all. After this catastrophe, i went ahead and scheduled an appointment at a local dentist. Without insurance, i paid 107 dollars to get my teeth cleaned in preparation for braces or veneers. This did not include getting my teeth x-rayed. That would have been an additional 45 dollars. Which was not expensive, i just didn't see the need for it, just for a cleaning. If you schedule a cleaning and you don't have insurance, please ask about the price and if x-rays are optional. I was told my teeth were in perfect condition, just to floss more. Tomorrow, literally two days after my walk-in cleaning appointment, i have a free consultation at a local orthodontist to assess my teeth to see what amount of work i will require/payment options. Following this appointment, i have another dental appointment a few hours later at the place who cleaned my teeth. It is a consultation to consider getting my teeth bonded to correct my gap. I have read up and i've found that bondings can be 100-200 per tooth, or more depending on severity. Possibly less depending on the dentist. This can be done in one visit and is not a strenuous process. I am determined to get my teeth fixed, the proper way. I would rather spend my savings, or save more to get a smile that makes me comfortable.I am not a well off person, i work two part time jobs while being a full time business major at a major university. i have normal expenses, as my parents do not send me much money. I honestly think it will pay off more in the long run to just save your money and try to get these things fixed through a proper dentist. Your teeth will look better and you will feel better about spending your money on a good/expected outcome.** I know how depressing it gets sometimes seeing your friends and others with perfect smiles that they were born with. Everything happens for a reason. You can fix this. Just take the time to research and find what works best for you financially and in general. Once you get started, i promise you it is easier than you think.I hope that by writing this review, i am helping at least one person. These reviews can be very misleading. I know how hurtful negative reviews can be when you are trying to find a good product. One positive among a million reviews will make you feel like there is hope. Please take my review into consideration.

My Experience With Secure Instant Smile - It's a little long so grab a coffee :)
I received this item on Thursday, May 26, 2016 - earlier than quoted which is great! I am pleasantly surprised as to how wonderful these teeth are! After reading many, many reviews, I wasn't expecting too much from these teeth but I was hoping that I would be able to wear them until I have my teeth fixed... After reading the instructions and reading posts from people who have used them successfully, I was able to work with them until they fit perfectly and comfortably in my mouth... They look really nice when I smile and they look very natural!Several posters have advised being patient when making adjustments - filing them where needed, re-adjusting them by putting them in very hot water and molding them again and again until they are comfortable, etc... It will take time to get them right (it took me over an hour) but once they fit well, they're good to go! Also, I don't use the thermal beads, preferring to use Secure denture adhesive which works perfectly... These teeth stay on all day with the Secure adhesive and fits very snug... I do have a slight lisp but with a few more adjustments/filing, I should be able to get rid of that too...I read many reviews which stated that these teeth broke while trying to fit them... Keep in mind that it is very important to make sure that the teeth are adequately softened and flexible after removing them from the hot water so you can mold them properly to your mouth.. You should not have to force them in order for them to mold properly... You should be able to bend them until they form an arch on your own teeth/gums.. I put on my electric kettle and allowed the water to get to almost boiling point - then I poured the hot water into a safe container... I placed the teeth into the container and waited for about a minute or so before taking them out with a fork and gently bending them to see if they were flexible enough... If they were not flexible enough, I placed them back into the hot water to continue to soften... Once they softened enough, I placed them into my mouth and pressed down on the teeth, holding them in place until they cooled down once I got the right fit... They will cool down rather quickly so if the fit is not right and the teeth are starting to feel too rigid to mold, put them back into the very hot water to soften again... Once you put them back into the hot water though, they will go back to their original shape so you can mold them in your mouth again...If they make your mouth look like a horse's mouth, you will need to do some filing to make the back of the teeth thinner so it fits closer to your teeth or gums (if you have no teeth...) (By the way, if you have buck teeth or an overbite, these teeth will probably not work for you - just a head's up!)...Some people even file off the little ledge right behind the teeth for a better fit.. (I did not have to do this.) The adjustments will be different for each person so the customizing that works for one person may not be for you... Don't be discouraged.. It takes time but it is so worth it once you get it right... Carefully clean them with lukewarm water and soap, and rinse well.. To help take the dental adhesive off the teeth, you can use a toothpick or metal nail file to gently scrape off the glue...If you are going to try eating with these, make sure that the food is VERY soft - like mashed potatoes, etc... (I have eaten salads or soups with these teeth on but I make sure the pieces are small bite size and again, soft... I use mostly my back teeth to chew but the food manages to get stuck behind the teeth so you'll have to clean them, rinse them and reapply adhesive.) The site says not to eat with them or sleep with them - and to be on the safe side, you probably should not... I have no problem sleeping with them on because I use the Secure dental adhesive which lasts me all night until I wake up in the morning... As far as drinking, I'm not much of a coffee drinker or tea drinker although I have tried drinking both of these without problems... However I don't drink them while they are very hot (I allow them to cool down before drinking any hot beverage.. ) Cold beverages are fine but if you are using dental adhesive, make sure to allow about 15 minutes for the adhesive to dry before drinking anything... It will stick so much better and for a longer time... Also you will need to get used to them being in your mouth... They kinda feel funny at first but you do get used to them :)Once you have used these teeth for a little while, you will know what you can and cannot do with them, and how to wear them to your proper fit.. I will definitely be buying the teeth again since I am so happy with them... I don't know how long they last so I'll order a second one just in case... I have read from others that they last anywhere from 2 months to one year depending on your use - some people had them last even longer! Either way, it is definitely worth it for me... :) Good luck and keep smiling!
