Atari 40Th Anniversary Flashback 8 Gold Deluxe HD

I've already reviewed this item once before, but apparently that didn't get published. My husband and I have had tons of fun with this blast from the past. The package was delivered quickly, and it was new. Setup was a piece of cake. If you're looking for flashy games that compare to those of 2020, then this isn't for you. If you played Atari back in the day, then this is not going to disappoint. No complaints on our end, but I will say we have only had this since Christmas 2019. I will update my review if that changes.

I bought this product because I’m an 80s baby! I hadn’t played any of these oldie but goodie games in 30 years! My husband and I played it as well as my 6 yo niece and my 21 yo son and his gf! Tons of laughs and a lot of fun! It was delivered on time too! It has been updated to play on our widescreen TVs! Wireless joysticks, HD and 120 preloaded games!

The wireless joysticks do not pair after following the instructions that came with the system. I am unable to locate a video of someone showing how to pair them either. I have contacted the manufacturer via email and the instructions they gave me are completely different than what is shown on the documentation that comes with the console, and they do not work either. I have also contacted the seller and they have responded with an email stating that they have customer service available, but only via email. I have emailed them and am currently waiting instructions.

Flashback to when I was a kid and now my kid is having fun but wondering how we played with such terrible graphics. A tip on the controllers, don’t try to play with the joystick AND have the other controllers plugged in. They won’t work.

I'm really happy with the port of the games to this device. The quality of graphics and sound is just like original Atari 2600. The exception, and important to me, was Frogger. I don't know where this version of Frogger came from, but it is not what was released for the 2600 years ago. This version is awful!!The quality of the other games still keeps this at a four-star rating, almost a five, but I was really disappointed in not getting the original Frogger.

I wanted the old classic Atari 2600 game set. I figured this would provide it. There are some severe gaps in this collection. What's missing, and I hope I can somehow upgrade to this, but don't see how...DefenderFroggerPacManI don't know what else, but I'm really really bummed these games are not here. These were the games I played most, and they're conspicuously gone. What's on this machine are 150 of the games that were completely unfamiliar to me. Nobody had these games except Asteroids and Centipede. This system also lacks the paddle.

It may say it has 130 games, but many of them don't work properly. They either lack the x or y axis control so they are impossible to play. Ity of the games are fun to play. The graphics are retro but good.

Having played the very first Pong and other electronic games, this was a fantastic gift for our young - 6-10 year old- grandchildren. We tried it out first- saw that it was still great games! This was a super family gift and a really big hit!!
