Janet Jackson's "Design of a Decade" features 15 hit songs from her previous albums: Control, Rhythm Nation, and Janet. The video also features a song that cannot be found on any of Jackson's three previous albums, "Whoops Now." The video flick shows Jackson with her dancers spending time at a beach on a boat while her dancers are jumping into the water for a swim, having a good time laughing, talking, and playing.The video includes interviews with Janet Jackson, plus rehearsals and dance routines in preparation of a music video that was taped on location at an airport. Jackson talks about her work experiences with her choreographer Tina Landon, and the work involved in the making of the video flick featured in "Design of a Decade."Unfortunately, many of the songs featured in "Design of a Decade" are not remixes, but it gives viewers an inside look at Jackson's early music career. Dating back to her first album: Control in 1986, followed by songs from her second and third albums: Rhythm Nation in 1989; Janet in 1993.

So fun to watch and relive all the music I grew up with and share it with my kids sure there is some that may not b to appropriate for there age but when they r ready they will watch them but for me its great to watch and exercise with. on A minor note I believe this video was burned since it won't play on my PS but does on my DVD

My DVD is clean no scratches. This vendor wrapped the disc so it would not get damaged in transit. I love it!!!before Beyonce,Gaga, Brittany and all the otheds , there was Madonna and miss Jackson if you're nasty!!!!!!!!

I am a former film school student. We shoot movies from 3 to 5 minutes duration. Most of Janet's early videos encapsulated in this DVD are works of art that bare serious review. If I were teaching I would serious consider showing this to a class to give them examples of narrative done simply and beautifully. It's a shame that so few videos have this quality of production anymore.

Excellent buy. Some of her best videos, great performances and unforgetable footage. Janet was always my favourite among the Jackson family and a great talent.
